Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Still round the corner there may wait...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

It always worsens as the night progresses.
A hot shower should help, Corin. Opens up the airways and eases the cough.
Combine it with an nebulizer treatment and it should get better.

Good evening!
Ugh...music night ran way late. I was kinda hopin' everyone'd be outta here earlier and I could have a little quiet time with a good book and halfacuppacrap...but it didn't happen.
On the bright side, got two more loaves of sourdough whole wheat rising in the oven. Making it is just about more fun than eating it...which primarily the brothers took care of. I'll bake them as soon as I get up in the morning.

I'm here Sam! And I would LOVE to, but....
Weekdays are terrible for me due to single-mom-itis. :-(
I don't have any help Thursday nights, so I'd have to sadly decline this time.
Maybe an upcoming Friday night?

A hot shower should help, Corin. Opens up the airways and eases the cough. That's the thing tho Ruthy. It's not "that" kind of cough. It's hard to describe. I'll take my cough syrup again. I should be okay through the night.

<nodding> Thank you so much!
Do you have any idea how ... comforting ... it is to know I can bop in here, ask a question out of left field, and know the answer I'll get will be detailed and marvelous?
I don't think I've said lately how much I appreciate this place, and you people!

Well... I don't think any of us have adequately said how much we appreciate the beautiful and talented, Miss Rose, either.
So there. :-P

one kid wuz whinin' that he had tuh go tuh the head... break was in 20 minutes... he said "but I really need to go..."
so I threw a trash can at him and said "never start a sentence with a conjunction..."
another one asked tuh go tuh the nurse, so I let him go durin' lunch... we just got back tuh the room when he said in a recalcitrant tone, "gee, thanks for making me go to the nurse during lunch... now I'm hungry..."
one of the other boys turned to him and said "do you really think he gives a $#!t?..."
*sniff* some of 'em learn quick...

Things still suckin' lemons at work? Yes. Fixin' to get a lot more nasty now that our *real* auditors for SarbOx have showed up. It'll take them a couple of few weeks to get up to speed with things, so I'm taking a bit of a breather for a while. :-)

Very comforting.
To my understanding, my unit was also understrength from 1997-1999, and we were getting new people in 2000-2002.
Not sure what my old unti's strength is now, of course, but when I was there the rough numbers quoted were pretty close.
