Eleventh Thread: Wedding Edition: The Hobbit Hole XI - No One Admitted Except on Wedding Business!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
Good morning!
My blood pressure is WAY up due to that dumbass jonalvy.
I'm a woman on the edge, so he'd better hope I don't bump into him aywhere. I gots YEARS of pent-up anger just itching to get out....
But other than that, it's a fantastic day.
Just found out that 4 people are out today, so my payroll count just went from 7 to 20. *grin*
But it does pay the bills, so I'll leave it at that! ;-D
I responded and pinged the authorities.
Not really. Had a vey rough night. I think yesterday on the way home I was mostly tired. But I woke up with an attack around midnight. It was probably the worst one so far. It's the first time I've actually panicked about not being able to breathe. We were vey close to going on to the ER.
We did the inhaler, then I used Luke's nebulizer. After about an hour and a half I was able to go back to bed.
I just don't know. Doc said to let him know if I still had the low grade fever, which I don't. But this stuff in my throat just won't leave.
I ~think~ what made it worse last night was that the cat went to bed with me and slept pretty close to my face. Prolly irritated things.
Today I'm mostly just tired and achy. I'm not coughing, but I don't have much voice either.
Did they ever give you an antibiotic, or just stuff to treat symptoms?
I got the antibiotic on the first visit. That cleared up the messy part of the cough. He even told me to expect the dry cough and to treat it with Claritin. He said Friday he'd give me another antibiotic if the fever persisted. But that's gone now.
It's probably just worse because of all the irritants, the general fall stuff, the animals and the construction/mold dust in the house from the bathroom.
All I know is that I'm vey tired of it.
Well...I sure hope it clears up soon! You need your sleep.
mmmm....sleep...
(((Corin)))
I'm praying for your recovery, sweetie.
*sigh*
Performing open heart surgery on my poor little story to excise the unneeded character. There goes about five thousand words. OK...not quite THAT bad, but it's painful. Necessary, though.
At least I caught it before I was three quarters of the way done.
Good morning! Making my famous waffles that you have to rise with yeast overnight.
The boys are thrilled.
I made sourdough bread yesterday! With whole wheat flour and rye. It was a bit heavy and chewy, but in my mind, that's how sourdough SHOULD be.
VERY tasty. My brothers loved it. I took one loaf out to the house and we had some as a snack. I have part of another loaf at home...will probably toast it to have for snacks at music night tomorrow.
I still have starter...according to the site I used for directions, if it's in the fridge, it should actually be OK for quite a bit longer than I had originally though...so I guess I'm OK!
Apparently I throw like a girl ;-) but I told the obnoxious guy there's a reason for that.
Heh. Some of us played a casual game for about half an hour before the picnic, in preperation for the "real" game afterwards... said game lasted, oh, seven minutes before disaster struck...
disaster?
Back in the old days, probably before you were even born...when I went to public school for a coupla years, I was the kid that was picked last when they picked teams, and then they'd put me so far out in the outfield that I never had any contact with the ball. I couldn't catch OR throw...so I'd stand out there and daydream and eat wild strawberries.
I guess it wasn't allll bad.
Professor falling over and having to go to the emergency room. Resulted in a called game.
Aww... I played softball and usually got stuck with outfield, but sometimes I'd get third base.
Note to self: loan Rosie "Fruits Basket" as soon as everyone here's done with it.
Heh...in my case, it's a combination of clumsiness and lack of depth perception. And a fear of getting hit in the head with the ball, which seemed to happy to me more than most. I'm NEVER going to be that good at team sports.
I guess I'll live...;-)
