Has anybody received a reply from the Marine, or is this some elaborate hoax to get emails for a spam list, or a way for a "bad guy" to get contact info on American patriots?
VMA(AW) 242, Cpl, 1983-1988 HM1 is Headquarters and Maintenance Squadron. But there used to be no HM1, only HM13, HM 12, and HM 11. (The Marine Corps did some tinkering with 3rd MAW - so maybe there is an HM1 now)

I'm with you. I decided to hold off until I hear someone has received a response back. Then I know the email addy is legit! Better to be safe than sorry!
