I have no idea how to help you. This is one of the great mysteries of my computer. I know there are files on there that should be deleted (old down-loaded pictures, for example). Whenever I try to delete them, I can't find them. When my husband is looking for his resume or something, he will find a bunch of my files by accident, while looking for his resume which seems to migrate to different areas of the computer.
I visualize my computer's files as a large junk drawer.

LOL. I know exactly what you mean. Maybe ONG can help or some other computer savvy freeper.

That sounds like my book marks. But then my filing is not the best in the world either. I know where everything is, but Roomey can't find anything in there. He gets so frustrated when he goes into my files. He told me that my files are just as muddled as the inside of my head. Only I know where and what's in there

I am sure you probably already are there... but there are two ways I look for things ...
First, use the "Search" for function on the computer ... start button or some such. I would limit such a search in this case to "*.pdf files" and "last one day" and possibly even "size greater than 500kBytes" (but that would be overkill)
Second method, ask for the download again, and note where the application is actually saying that it will be put (usually works) and halt the download of most of the file...
