I just got done taking my granddaughter in the stroller around her neighborhood. It is a quiet established neighborhood built between 1935 to 1955, with tall trees and lots of interesting landscape. We count doggies and squirrels as we stroll around.

I got to thinking about how different my life is from a woman in Islamic countries. I have a degree. I drive a car. I was wearing shorts and a t-shirt with no head-covering. We count dogs because they are honored pets, not whipped mongrels that scavenge on the outskirts of a village. There are trees, and flowers, and green grass. No one thinks anything of me walking by myself, without an escort. And no one in the neighborhood is blowing people up.

We are very, very fortunate to live in this country, and we must NOT elect someone like Kerry, who, as Two-thirds says, will get us all killed...and will run the country into the ground while doing so.

Excellent Post.

Sadly, I'm just passing thru and must return my nose to the grind stone.

We do live in a wonderful country, Miss M. Your son's neighborhood sounds wonderful.
