As a brain-treat, I did some research on tripedal locomotion in robotics. LOL! One google search I did had two entries next to each other... One was from a robotics geek, with all of his white papers.... which said: 'Tripedal locomotion has not been observed in nature..."

The next entry was from a scientist discussing tripedal locomotion in spider monkeys. LOL!

You would think that the robotics geek would be more informed. I thought everybody knew a dog named Tripod from their youth. 8>)

The Tripod that I knew lost his left front in a run-in with a Ford in 1965. The Ford didn't suffer.

At least Tripod lived. Contrary to what some at FR may believe, I am on the dog's side.

John, I'm off to bed. Tomorrow's a busy day. We're setting up for our company before we leave around 8:00 AM. We went to a reception tonight. The trophy is a cool 22.5 inches tall, the exact measurement of a band step when marching 8 to 5. That's eight steps every five yards for the non-band members. We saw some old friends and met some of LD's friends and I'm to bed.

I'll greet folks in the AM. Good night.

Kay, LOL! I was called a puppy-killing muslim, or moslem, terrorist male who cannot be trusted with children or old folks.

Good night.

Thought you would be interested in what's going on in Charlotte this weekend ... a Culinary Arts Experience.

You can read a little bit about it here ... news14charlotte.com ... (I don't think that's one of the sites you have to register to read). There are some links down at the bottom with a little more info.

Night, Jem. I know you have taken care of dogs in a country that eats dogs.

God bless you and yours.

And don't worry about the party... it's less than 200 folks. ;>)

ARGH!!! I can't be more than an hour away from my duty station this weekend....

Thank you for the information and link.

In the next few days, I need to write you a freep-mail with a zillion questions. NC is growing on me. You and your hubby may be able to provide some information that I need.

Just a quick wave hi. I'm not feeling well, the guy next to me at work was diagnosed with strep on Monday, and now I have a very sore throat. :( I stocked up on the orange juice, chicken noodle soup, etc and I am taking it easy this weekend. and I'm off to bed. Toodle-loo!!!

Fire away! We'll do our best to answer your questions.

We will be leaving town Wednesday evening and be gone until Sunday night. Heading down to Charleston for a conference until Saturday (just in time to miss the hurricane, we hope) and then to Wilmington. And we hope that our accommodations are intact when we get to the coast.

I hope it's not strep, sweetie. If you really suspect that it is, get thee to a doctor. Strep will keep coming back until you knock it in the head with an antibiotic. (*voice of experience*)

Copenhagen? Cool!

Glad you started it early, because again the cat got me up. I am going to start making him sleep in the garage if I can't break him of this habit. Grrr.
