Cybill Shepard arrived to tape a British chat show -- as I gather they are called, thanks to my extensive reading of Brit Lit -- looking like she was auditioning for the role of Red Riding Hood in a Christmas pantomime. If Red Riding Hood were, say, extremely weather-beaten from her trip to Grandmother's house. Regardez:

When questioned, Ms. Shepherd, who, according to this account had already been in London for two entire days, claimed she had "jet lag hair," and took off her hood.
To reveal -- cover the eyes of any minors in the room, please!

Apparently she rode over on the wing of the plane.
I've not watched this nitwit in decades.

I can't watch Dan Rather. It's like staring at a crazy person walking down the street, pushing a grocery cart, muttering to himself. I just can't do it.
It looks like FL's Atlantic coast is going to get slammed.
I have family members at the Outer Banks right now, but they're heading back to flood-ravaged Pittsburgh Sunday, just ahead of the oncoming Jeanne. Good grief, enough already!
Hoping that they didn't wait too long to leave...the destructive power of these storms, and the tornadoes they spawn, is simply unbelievable.
I hope Hurricane Lisa gives us a break.
I'll call HLL after the storm, (next morning, supposed to hit late tonight, early Sunday morning) to let her know how we are.
We here in Florida would appreciate any and all prayers!
BWB, just got off babysitting duty and had a chance to check out the news. Oh no! Another hurricane headed right for you. Hope your high and dry when it's all over. What a mess.
prayers going up
I'll see what I can do. ;) Prayers being sent for you and yours.
Prayers being sent.
Prayers up.
EVEN the ditziest blondes in Hollywood feel the need to pipe up with their opinions about presidential elections. On her cheesy Web site, Melanie Griffith opines: "I am a full-blown Democrat. I always have been. I did visit President George Bush Sr. [sic] and his wife when they were in the White House. However, I feel their son is in there without truly having won the election. I think he is a C-minus president. Don't you have to have straight A's to be valedictorian of a college class? How is it possible that we, the great country of America, have become so deaf, dumb and blind to the obvious?
"I am voting for John Kerry because I think he is his own man. He is extremely intelligent and has a heart of gold. I have met his wife and she is extremely bright and charismatic. I believe he should be our next president. And if Bush is actually voted in this time, I hope we hold him accountable for 9/11 and for this disastrous war in Iraq. I am p--ed!" (PageSix)
Bless her heart.
Heads up! The Food Network will be airing a special on The White House kitchens tonight at 9pm EST.
So much for Euro fashion superiority.

Mr. and Mrs. Darren Clarke
Mr. and Mrs. Padraig Harrington
Mr. and Mrs. Miguel Angel Jimenez
Mr. and Mrs. Ian Poulter
Lastly, there's Sergio Garcia. He's such a cutie I thought at least HE would have a hot date. But, no, he brought his sister. The dress is cute enough (for a sister) I guess. But she's kind of cute and could really have done something more with herself.
Meow!
Looking good, Cink's.
The Euro-ladies shopped at the local drapery outlet it seems.
Lisa & Stewart are looking good.
I just can't decide which is worst...they ALL qualify.
Maybe that's why the Euros played better...fewer personal distractions. Snicker... :)
