Thread III: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/1311311/posts |

Free Republic has a lot of horse people that have found each other on other threads . And since we all like to talk horses, how about a thread where it is not off-topic, but is THE topic?
A few of us thought it would be interesting and informative to have a chat thread where we can share ideas, ask for input from other horsemen, and talk about our riding and horse-keeping. We have a lot of different kinds of riders and horses, and a lot to share. In the last thread we had a great time and were a great help to each other working through lessons and training, horse lamenesses and illnesses, questions and challenges and always just our stories we like to tell.
I always have a link to this thread on my profile page, so if you have something to say and can't find the thread in latest posts look for it there and wake the thread up!
I also have a ping list for horse threads that are of interest, and Becky pings everyone most mornings. Let Becky (Paynoattentionmanbehindthecurtain) and/or me know if you would like to be on the ping list. As FreeRepublic is a political site, our politics and other issues will probably blend in . There are many issues for horsemen that touch politics land use, animal rights/abuse cases that make the news . Legislation that might affect horse owners.
So... like the last thread, this is intended as fun place to come and share stories, pictures, questions and chit-chat, unguided and unmoderated and that we come together here as friends. There are lots of ways of doing things and we all have our quirks, tricks and specialties that are neat to learn about.
They had a whole bunch of reformatted old movies on dics for 88 cents. I bought about 20 of them. I'll have to see how good they are. There were some old western and detectives with stars, phantam of the opera, old monster, some AH and kid ones.
My mom looking into some company in OK that makes safe rooms in your house too.
Yeah, but what a neat Christmas present for them. Too bad you can't bring the baby in. Your elders would probably love it.

It's a quiet evening here, but will be a busy house tomorrow. This is a good time for me, to wish everyone the best.
Thank You. Merry Christmas to you and yours too:')
Merry Christmas to you too!
I can only hope that all will experience the 'love of God being shed abroad' in their hearts. A neat, awesome 'feeling' to be sure!
I just saw your "new found" friend. I hope, he can be reunited with his family. That was very thoughtful of you, to take him in.
Merry Christmas to you all. Enjoy the day with your family and friends.
Hi everyone, finally got back on here, have been baking and tidying up all day.
Misty still hasnt foaled, guess she is waiting till Santa comes!
Hope everyone has a wonderful time and we will let you know when the little one arrives.
James and Sharn
Thanks for the update!
On we wait....
I am sure she grins at me every time I go out and check! LOL
Merry Christmas to you and yours. Have a wonderful day tomorrow.
Of course she does. She'll probably wait until you give up and then foal.
Oh my gosh. It's snowing about an hour north of us. They pedict we will get some snow about midnight. Last time was 1989! Poor JJ. He's talking about snowballs and snow angels:')
My grandmother lived in Fort Worth and she would gather snow and make balls and put it in the freezer for my kids when they visited (usually in the summer) I had the hardest time explaining to them why I would not allow snow ball fights:')

You did that to your stallion? lol
He'll never live that down with the other guys...
:~D
Will you post that recipe?
