Kerry gets tough...
Meanwhile, from the insanity front, TerAYzah jokes about "speaking her mind":
PITTSBURGH - Teresa Heinz Kerry makes no apologies for speaking her mind on the presidential campaign trail. "Someone who's 65 like me being called 'opinionated' because I take a stand and have an opinion? Give me a break!" Heinz Kerry told about 60 [However did they fit such a huge crowd into the meeting room?] mostly black political, community, and business leaders at a library in the city's blighted Homewood neighborhood on Thursday....
Always so overtly elated to be in her dorkish husband's presence ...
Madison Long, 6, of Rochester, Minnesota, wears her hair braided into the letter 'W' at a campaign rally for U.S. President George W. Bush in Rochester, September 16, 2004.
I just talked to my mom. She said that one of the condo owners took a helo up today and said the place is terribly damaged. The clubhouse is virtually destroyed and their particular building sustained heavy damage. They think the storm surge hit to at least the 3rd floor. It might be a total loss. The beaches are gone, too. Hard to believe we were there 6 weeks ago and it looked like this

I dind't know you were talking about Beach Club. I'm sooo sorry. I've heard a few people say their houses on Orange Beach or Gulf Shores somehow survived, but I don't see how from the way it looks on TV. Looks like at least 6 to 8 ft. of water across the entire peninsula. Pensacola...my heart breaks for them. Count your blessings!
T.
What really breaks my heart are all of the great people that work there and have their livelihoods built around the tourism industry. I can truly say that the nicest people you'd ever want to meet are in that area. =)
Look at this. If sKerry thought he wasn't in trouble before, just wait til the voters see this:
Three-year-old Sophia Parlock cries while seated on the shoulders of her father, Phil Parlock, after having their Bush-Cheney sign torn up by Kerry-Edwards supporters on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004, at the Tri-State Airport in Huntington, W.Va.
There was a letter to the editor in my local paper from a Kerry supporter who had a Kerry sign stolen from her yard. She blamed Bush supporters, of course, and said it was an attempt to suppress free speech. I'd love to send her this photo.
That little girl looks like she could be the daughter of E.D.Hill of Fox & Friends. Bless her little heart. I hope she felt all-better when she found out her picture was in the paper.
It's really sad.
Kerry's toast!
So glad your house is OK! Boy, those people in Pensacola really took a beating, just awful. And now another one on the way. Named after someone we know. Please be gentle with us. :-)
Oh btw, Kerry in an interview with my local radio station yesterday said global warming is the cause of all these hurricanes (sheesh, what an idiot!). I'm shocked he didn't blame it on GWB.
AWESOME!!
Father of the little girl whose sign was ripped up will be on the Glenn Beck show, next up...
GOV. Pataki's son Teddy might become a U.S. Marine. The 22-year-old senior at Yale, where he is majoring in the classics and is president of Zeta Psi, went through Officer Candidate School in Virginia over the summer. "It's tough. Not everybody makes it," said one insider. Teddy, who was named after Pataki's hero, Teddy Roosevelt, has the option of joining the Marines as an officer when he graduates from Yale. "He hasn't made a decision yet," said a spokeswoman for the governor. If he does accept a commission, he'd likely be sent to Iraq. (PageSix)
Who are you, and what have you done with the real Andy Rooney?
CBS curmudgeon Andy Rooney indicated yesterday he believes the controversial documents on President Bush's National Guard service are fake and said it could cost Dan Rather down the road. "I'm surprised at their reluctance to concede they're wrong," Rooney said, referring to CBS brass. Despite praising Rather as "a good, honest newsman," Rooney added, "I'm unsure if they're whistling in the dark instead of apologizing." .... full story
Ewwwww ...
Now, Vili Fualaau and Mary Kay Letourneau will cash in on their surreal relationship. The two, who plan to wed, have been living together in Seattle since Letourneau finished her seven-year sentence for the statutory rape of Vili from the time he was 12. A professional photographer has chronicled the ultimate odd couple's touching reunion, and now the pictures will go to the highest bidder. ... link
No, I couldn't find a picture of Lisa on the web. When they show the wives, watch for the only brunette...that's Lisa. Very tall, very skinny, shortish dark, highlighted hair.
My day started off great. I went walking with a Liberal friend and we usually don't discuss politics-if we do, it is because SHE brings the subject up...But today she asked me what I thought of Rathergate and boy did I cut loose, the crux of my response being that I think Rather has Alzheimer's or senility based on his recent statement that he wants to be the one to break the story of the forgeries if there any. She laughed and agreed with me and then, out the blue, she said, I am not voting for Kerry. I do not like that man. I said, why?, because he is so ugly? and she actually said she does not trust him to handle Iraq and also she thinks he has no personality and just wants to be president to well, be president!
One word, hillary. Now I wasn't too sure that hillybilly were actively trying to throw this election but when I saw her and Chelz smirking and clinking champagne glasses when Howard Dean spoke at the dem convention, I had to wonder.
Make me barf with the Mark Kay and child lover pictures!
Andy Rooney - maybe senility has a side effect - the occasional lucid thought.

Denise Richards has decided to stop breastfeeding Sam, her daughter with actor Charlie Sheen, after just five months.
"I felt like I was still pregnant," Richards told USA Today. "I still had to watch what I ate. I couldn't have a cocktail, which I was dying for after being pregnant nine months."
Puhleeze Denise, express some milk and save it for those times you want a drink. Quit making stupid excuses for not wanting to nurse any longer.

Who would have thought anyone could scare Ice-T? The bad boy rapper/actor confesses in Thursday's "Big Idea with Donnie Deutsch," on CNBC: "I'm scared of [President] Bush. We need a peaceful president, not someone who is entertained by war."
Bullbleep for brains has a wife with a butt glued to her chest. Now that's scary.
And what did I see at the 7-11 today? A lighter in the form of a flip-flop. Too bad Kerry doesn't smoke, I'd send him one!
