Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Pass them by! Pass them by!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Me either. But I'm watching the volcano cam. Not the same as live video...but better than nothing.

But all that smoke and steam makes me wonder if my dinner is burning already...Ugh...wish I wasn't so nervous about it, but I am.

I know. And we would likely get some help from home health care. Last time she had regular therapy visits as well. It's a little trickier though because the issue is that with her two artificial shoulders she
cannot get herself out of bed. If she could, she would be okay staying upstairs in her room while we aren't there because she could get to the bathroom.
But, the way she is now, she can't be alone...ever.
So, at a minimum we're looking at 8-5, four days a week. Medicare won't pay for that.

Thanks. I think it will most likely come down to doing what we have to do, not what we'd like to do. Which is kinda where this whole thing started.
And...we'll do it. But I reserve the right to gripe. ;-)

Sounds like your cookbook should have Don't Panic written on it in large friendly letters.
Ugh, morning spent dealing with faulty backups. Yay, it's Somebody Else's Problem for three weeks starting tomorrow.

I just wish I knew what exactly the right proportion of liquid was - where you wouldn't have to worry about anything bad happening.
I'm sure it's probably fine and will be tasty. But I'll still feel better when I get home!
Wonder if Bilbo is working this afternoon? I could make 'im go check on it...
You alternate backup weeks?

Mountain's doing what it is going to do.... looks like the cloud is going NE and not very high or far.... We are NW and hardly ever get any ash.
Yeah that job ended. I am glad.... Now... I am behind on my other job and should be doing that. Lots of distractions this morning.

Yes, it's entirely your fault.... and the South Park thread, and the horses, and the horse thread, and the mountain.

Yes, the four assistants take a week at a time. That keeps it from being too obnoxious.
Woot, borrowed more anime from my coworker...
