Eleventh Thread: Wedding Edition: The Hobbit Hole XI - No One Admitted Except on Wedding Business!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
Should I put you on my "Colorado Adventure Pictures" ping list? :-)
Save the barbeque for Colorado Entmoot, whenever we do that!
But an adventure weekend sounds good...
And our church is running a LOTR marathon on Sunday afternoon, so I have that to look forward to, too. Unfortunately we can't stay for the whole thing because of our concert, but it'll still be fun while it lasts!
Well, I think the Floridians might be having a bit more than a mundane adventure.
At our house, we'll be moving Nana back to the nursing home. The hip is back in place, but she can't move that leg. So it's back to therapy. Needless to say she's pretty discouraged. But at least it's not like school starts next week and the Mrs. is overhwhelmed with preparations...
I am planning a small adventure tomorrow. It appears the weather will be good enough for me to take Luke to King's Dominion to play in the water park. It closes on Monday. So, this will actually allow the Mrs. to work on the toys we're sending to the consignment sale that are currently hidden under blankets in the living room.
Oh...and y'all will appreciate this. Jr. went to King's Dominion yesterday with friends...three girls.
He's never wanted to ride the roller coasters, although last year he worked his way up to the Scooby Do coaster. When I called to find out where he was..."we've already ridden the Grizzley and just got off the Hurler...we're heading for the Rebel Yell"....~snicker~
Can't decide which thread to follow, but apparently Bill Clinton has been rushed to the hospital for quadruple bypass surgery.
I've no love lost for Bill Clinton, but I hope and pray he does well.
I haven't heard... where is the hurricane landing?
LOL about Jr. Funny what girls can do, huh.
Man... I'm going to pray that I want to pray for Clinton. Can't quite manage it yet.
If I'm reading it correctly, the eye of Frances will land in the driveway of the castle...
Oh, dear... did ksen get out? Or did he stay with FIL?
Ok, have decided I don't want Clinton to die, but haven't quite got up to "makes a full recovery"...
Agreed, he seems to be the more human side of that couple (barely). Sort of like saying a lizard is more human than a snake.
Good to hear from you both...be sure and ping me to any storm posts...I'm watching for them.
Last I heard, ksen was gonna stay and ride it out with his FIL. But that was a couple of days ago...
Had some gusts here at my house in South Dade in the last hour that were around 50 mph, I'd guess. Expecting more of that, probably up to 75 or so over the next day or so, and hoping that's all we get.
The thing has about crossed our latitude, so I'm starting to relax a little.
Going to make a sandwich (bacon, raw onions and butter), then go outside and pick up anything that looks like it could go flying.
Lights blinked on and off a few times with that last band of showers, so it's possible we could be out of touch soon.
Wonder if ksen and Tammy and kids will be riding it out in Palm Bay also, things could get tough in that area.
Last word was, Tammy and the kids were leaving but ksen was staying with his fil who didn't want to leave...
Second, Zell Miller must have an immaculate FBI record, because Hitlery would have silenced him long ago if not. He's lucky he's important enough that a dirtnap at Ft Marcy Park would seem a bit suspicious
Glad your mom's doing well. Keep us posted!
But they didn't notice! That's the point! ;-) They were talking about someone else entirely, and when the second kid thought the first WAS talking about me, first kid was appalled and embarassed.
I think I'm invisible to everyone under the age of, say, 40. Least that's the way it seems at times. I guess in another five or ten years, that'll be OK since they'll actually be in my age range...but right now it bugs me. And it's vain, I know! But "Dude, you need to get out more" hurt. I'm not THAT much of an eyesore, I don't think.
Good to hear! I'll keep praying.
You're a beautiful lady, Rosie, so don't sweat those goofballs!
Glad your mom is doing okay.
A. Dumber than a box of rocks
B. Stone out of their mind
C. Drunk off their @$$
D. All of the above...
