Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Pass them by! Pass them by!
New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

The theatrical version is out. We watched it at the church marathon a few weeks back. *snif* My first time since Entmoot!

If OUR video place has it for rental, EVERYONE does...but it's prolly popular, and they prolly only got one or two copies.
That'd be my guess, anyway.
And it's for sale at Wal-Mart and such, I think, if you have any such thing around.

Good idea on the credit card! Hope you have fun tomorrow.
I *really* want to go and see Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow at the theater, but it will have to wait until next week... (sigh)

Hi!
Thank God the workweek is over! :-)
Got my nephew here tonight so my sister could go out with her boyfriend. *wistful sigh* Times like these are when the loneliness settles in.
Although I wouldn't want a guy like my sister's boyfriend. Just not my type (drinks like a fish, loud, etc).

I saw it this evening. No, I will answer no questions. The answer to one possible question is, "In my opinion, it's wierdly cool."

Yes, I really like the retro-techno look, from the ads. Also, the local movie-review idiot didn't like it, which is usually a sign that I will...

heheheh...he doesn't have any of the redeeming qualities you have, g'nad.
He's obnoxious. And not a "ha-ha, you're so funny" obnoxious either. Know-it-all syndrome is a terrible thing.
Especially when you're dumber than a pig in sh!t.

No worries, Sam. I've got my kids keeping me busy and quite a great group of friends to keep me company on nights like these. *smile*
And it looks like we'll finally have a break from all of these hurricanes, so I can take the shutters down tomorrow!
I can't wait to have sunlight back in this house. Even though the electric bill will undoubtedly go up. ;-)
