New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |

The closest I got to getting in trouble was by saying "neurotic". ;-)
Hopefully not, but I hear from the local news that a high pressure system to the north may keep Jeanne from turning north as earlier predicted.
Oh boy.
That's... odd; all the Dems I know locally are very depressed because they've given up on CO already. In fact I noted just today several yards with "Bush/Cheney" signs, and also signs for the Dem senate candidate... am going to have to check this out more thoroughly but I thought CO was a solid Republican state.
I like "adhesive!" the best... :-)
Howdy howdy there evellybody. [sip]
Have I commented lately on how big a pain in the @$$ Sorbanes-Oxley is? I do not understand why this isn't getting headlines. Every publicly-traded company is affected by it, and disastrously so. [sip]
But for the moment I be free fum dat massa bob. Nothing further till 8 oftheclock tomorrow when it begins anew. [sip].

So... did I miss anything? saw something about kilts. didn't tarry there.
As I recall Colorado has been pretty solidly dem for years now... especially enclaves like Boulder [shudder]. Dunno what effect Denver has.

Colorado went for Bush in 2000.
It may be like here (well, not quite so much), but where there are regions that are steadfastly Republican while others are pretty liberal.
And colleges tend to skew results too, for that matter. Lotta liberals connected with colleges and universities.
Latest images from NHC have Jeanne landing on Hilton Head, SC.
But I don't know what the remnants of Ivan will do. They have him hitting KY/VA and then veering back to the southeast.
Hi Ramius!
One more day til the weekend! YIPPEE!
Our entire software platform has been taken down to prepare for the conversion to the new platform on Sunday. Everyone has to work Sunday afternoon to be sure the new software works.
*fingers crossed*
At least, that means tomorrow will be easy since we can't do anything except answer phones. :D
Why can't these hurricanes just veer back into the Atlantic like they normally do every year?
There are plenty of good things left in Colorado. Notable among them is Senator Ben Nighthorse Campbell, pictured below, in perhaps the cutest President-with-baby picture ever captured on film:

Pat Robertson is determined to have one destroy Disney World...
I think "generally" you may be right. Especially when you consider areas like Aspen...
