So, where was this store? Ann Arbor Michigan perhaps?
Jeff Carneal, CEO of the conservative book publisher Regnery, said the book is in its 10th printing with more than 650,000 copies in print or on order."Despite what some customers may believe, it isn't the stores' fault that supplies are scarce. I wish I could blame it on a vast left-wing conspiracy," said Carneal in a statement, "but I just can't. The book's record-setting demand just couldn't have been anticipated by the stores or by us."
You should protest against Regnery for not printing enough of "Unfit for Command" in their first run.
There is an upside-- it means that the anti Bush message isn't selling. :)
The funny thing is, that Kerry and McAulliffe, et al, with their calls for stores to stop selling the book, are giving the impression that bookstores are refusing to sell it.
Well, there is another thread about this and Regnery Press (the publisher) explained that they miscalculated and did not expect the book to be as big a success. They said it's not Borders or B & N's fault.
Regnery is the reason you couldnt find Unfit for Command. As far as caring the other books, many of them are in the top 50. Are you are a "book burner" who is going to deny Borders the right to sell what wells just as you are afraid libs are going to deny you the right to buy Unfit? Live and let live.
There is a Borders book store here in the Denver Colorado area that is so blatant with their bias against conservatives and President Bush. I had always heard about these kind of books stores but I saw it first hand with this one. You should have seen the hippies working behind the counter. I won't go into one anymore.
I was in Borders 2 nights ago. I felt I was at a Democratic headquarters. Everything is far left. I will never go there again. I am in conservative Idaho.
