Fox had a crawl earlier in the week that Alan Alda was going to play a Republican senator. I'm sure his portrayal will be "fair and balanced."

As for Smits, I seem to remember a blurb I read somewhere about him and Dennis Franz having differing points of view politically (Franz being conservative).

Your right of course. From http://www.gunweek.com/2000/hs091000.html
During the conference, Anthony Edwards, who plays a doctor, talked health care. Juliette Lewis, star of “Natural Born Killers,” debated violence in film. And former TV cop Jimmy Smits pitched gun control. Smits won a coveted prime-time speaking slot to pitch diversity and praise Gore as the candidate fighting against gun violence.

Did you see the Jimmy Smits death sequence? As I recall there was one scene where Sipowitz went to visit him in the hospital and Smits was watching CNN - which had a clip of Clinton. Andy made a very disparaging comment that was really funny. Wish I could remember the actual line.

I think this is wonderful news!

We always say that the libs are detached from reaility and they really are. They are building their virtual White House on film. These are demented people and they think if they can show the common people (peasants) what a utopia leftism is, "the people" will flock to it. Let them console themselves with a mockery of their reality. In the end, it will sway no one and they will be exposed as the fools they really, really, are.

Main Entry: 1 fool
Pronunciation: 'fül Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English, from Old French fol, from Late Latin follis, from Latin, "bellows" (see Rosie), "bag" (see barbarastreisan)

1 : a person lacking in judgment or prudence

2 a : a retainer formerly kept in great households to provide casual entertainment and commonly dressed in motley with cap, bells, and bauble b : one who is victimized or made to appear foolish : DUPE (see KERRY)

3 a : a harmlessly deranged person or one lacking in common powers of understanding b : one with a marked propensity or fondness for something < a drunken fool> or all of the above (see KENNEDY!) [not so much communist as opportunistic and totalitarian] ;

akin to Old High German bolla blister, balg bag -- more at BELLY (see MICHAEL MOORE)

Apparently, it does pretty well, but I know of no one that watches it. Like yourself, I NEVER would watch that trash...
