Cheney has some good points, but I am very disappointed that he does not support a "one man, one woman" marriage amendment, but rather anything goes attitude. I did not hear it myself but was told by someone else who did.

I think his position is to leave the issue to each state. (I didn't know until
recently that his daughter is gay).

The downside of that is it takes ONLY one state (ex: Massachusetts) to mess
it all up. Texas does NOT recognize same sex marriage by ANY other state.
States that DON'T do that are setting themselves up for BIG headaches.

The other thing is that getting the Marriage Amendment through will take a
miracle, imho. I hope it goes through.
