Well, if they're anything like Time-Warner (and they probably are) then the billing statement probably isn't rendered until several days after the "due date". With T-W, our bill is due the 15th of each month, but the next bill isn't rendered until the 20th. So, as long as the payment gets there before the 20th, it's not even counted as being late. You'll find that's true of most service places... there's a built in "grace period" of about 5-7 days, to allow for the vagaries of the postal service.
