Gillian Welch on CMT

CMT (Country Music Television) is currently airing the BBC four-part documentary entitled “Lost Highway: The History of American Country.” Gillian Welch is prominently featured in Part Four entitled “Sweethearts of the Rodeo”.

I don't wanna know...I don't get CMT. *snif*

Maybe it'll be put out on DVD eventually, though! And there are a number of bluegrass / oldtime / folk music fans on the library staff at the college, so if it DID get put out...could be they'd get it!

Thanks for that info about "Sweethearts of the Rodeo", Rose! I'll see if I can catch it on Saturday. SSQ and I might be going to see Garnet Rogers next Sunday at a Folk Festival over near Boston. He's the younger brother of Stan Rogers who was a well known folk singer from Canada. Stan died in a plane crash on the way home from the Kerrville Folk Festival about 20 years ago. Garnet was in his back up band, and has since become famous in his own right. He is a wonderful singer, guitarist, and fiddler.
