Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Hill and water under sky
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Is that the "hippie" thing you suggested to me the other day?

I could probably mail order it, but it's expensive. So...I just get it whenever I can. Wish I had it here, though. *snif*

Another crazy, crazy day with the phone ringing off the hook, lots of cranky people, lots of people not understanding why we couldn't drop everything and work on their problem first, etc. etc.
I'll be happier when we're a few weeks into the semester and we've settled down to a steady, busy pace. I don't like it truly slow...but it's been insane this week.

Ah, ok... I had to take two pills the first day, then a single pill for the next four days. Didn't bother my stomach, but had a definite effect later on. :/
If it's a tick bite, do you remember if it's one you had to pull off? Sometimes the heads get stuck under the skin and detach from the body when you pull the tick off, and cause infection.

Gonna go read and then to bed. Haven't slept well for a couple of nights 'cause of the heat, and I'm hoping I can make up for it tonight...plus I get to sleep-in a bit since I'm still having blister trouble and can't walk like I've been doing. *sigh* But the extra sleep is nice!
See ya in the morning!

Nope, not Hippie, although I've used that for years. The one I'm teaching myself now is Dreamweaver, which is an honest-to-goodness, costs-hundreds-of-dollars, can-do-just-about-anything professional web development environment. I've got an eval copy, which is good for another 20 days. :)

costs-hundreds-of-dollarsLeaves me out, then.
Picked up my Passion DVD this evening...doubt I'll get to it tonight, though.

Haven't got our copy yet... saw it for $15.84 at Walmart, though.

That's a really good price! I think the full retail price is ~$29.00.

He pulled one off his back, on his shoulder blade on the same side as this bite on his neck. He pulled it off before he realized what it was, even...then he showed it to me. But he doesn't recall pulling one off his neck.

I imagine that's one of the tests they're running. I don't know for sure though.
It's a weird-looking bite, for sure.
They just went to bed. He's been fine all afternoon and evening, except for that spell of nausea.

I would pay not to have to use freeware... I have decided that I am morally opposed to freeware that goes above the level of an anti-spyware program, just to be contrary to the entire department of Microsoft-bashing Linux weenies.
Also in my one class, our semester project is to write a specific plug-in for the Eclipse freeware IDE. So I am opposed to the idea. Not that I get a choice, of course.

They ~said~ (on the sign) that ~their~ regular price was 19.something and it was $5.00 off.
