I don't know how far Durango would be for you. I drove from Denver down to Farmington, New Mexico once (and back), and that was a hefty trip.
You've got time to see lots. Colorado Springs is worth it for the Air Force Academy and the "Garden of the Gods."
g'nite. I'm fading.
Clare will start college in the Fall of 2006, so she'll be on her first summer home visit in 2007. We do a vacation with all the kids, and SSQ's brother on the odd years, and attend SSQ's family's reunion on the even years. We used to go the family reunion every year when SSQ's parents were alive, but since they're gone, he wanted to do some other stuff with just our kids, so we worked it out that way. It's great cause they're older and it's easy to go places with them; besides, they're lots of fun to be with!
LOL!! Well lubricated party, I see!!
I bought some Pinot Noir tonight to try it, and it's pretty good! I had avoided red wine cause what I'd tried before, Merlot, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon, had been WAY too dry. This one was good. I'll have to try some other brands now!
I don't think 2006 has been settled. Somebody mentioned 2007 and I was just thinking about our family vacation and where we'd go. CO sounded just as good a place as any! In 2005, we're going to N. California to Yosemite.
Yeah!! 2006 in Virginia sounds good. Make it in early or mid-August and we could stop by on our way to or from Perdido!
OK, I'm funkling on outta here! Night (or morning) all!
Good morning!
Good Morning!
Just finished catching up...now it's time for breakfast and coffee!
ssshhhh...please stop the shouting...
Bought them shorts on the sale rack at Wal-Mart. Put 'em on without a shirt and laughed myself silly. They won't be "regular" swim wear.
Gotta go. We're skiping first service, but I'm taking Jr. to Sunday School. This afternoon we're going to King's Dominion. We bought the special and got passes for next year which includes the rest of this year.
Luke is thrilled. He has literally mentioned Kings Doe-menu about every day this summer, and couldn't figure out why we just didn't get in the car and go.
See y'all tonite.
Good morning!
Good morning.
When's breakfast?
What are we having?
How have you been?
Cocoa Wheats.
Fine, thank you. Hope you are the same.
mornin
at one point (dark thirty) this mornin we had the entire family in bed. I eventually made elf-boy get a pillow and blanket, and sleep in the floor.
Mornin'.
I'm really tired. Wouldn't have gotten out of bed if I didn't have to prep for church.
Morning; breakfast done, paper read, Gypsy walked, ready to begin...
Two more cannas in bloom, so yellow, gold, now red.
Hair; great banner - biggest one I've seen. Way to go.

SSQ is working on the plumbing; gotta get the fittings ready for the plumber to come 'tighten it' then have the town building inspector come to give his blessing. After that, we can call the gas company to come move the meter from the back of the house to the side so we can continue the basement digging!
We're still planning this project. We changed the roof support from a ridge beam to scissor trusses cause the beam was gonna have to be steel and we didn't want to fool with that. It's a good thing we're flexible! ;o). The trusses are ok, though, cause it means I don't have to design around post supports in the Master bathroom and closet! That's the main reason we wanted to do this ourselves anyway cause we've made changes along the way as we've looked at alternatives, and we wouldn't have had the luxury of that if someone else were doing the work for us on THEIR schedule!
Well, you ~could~, you'd just be a constant irritant to your contractor, like we were :~D
So we went out and raked up the last of the fallen apples in the back forty so we could turn the horses back to the woods, which we did, and we also took advantage of this cool misty morning to burn a pile that's been sitting all summer because it's been too dry to light it.
It's lush in the back forty...
