Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Hill and water under sky
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Yeah, but I won't be driving it....
My little Chevy Cavalier is wonderful for going up and down mountains on nice, clear, dry days like today. Stickshift is the way to go on those trips!

Yep... it just wasn't fair, what happened to him...
Can you believe that was the eighth Twilight Zone episode aired...? The quality of that show was just incredible, right from the start...

Night Rosie...
Ouch, just gave myself a nasty burn off the steamer. I let my arm get too close to one of the vents. Ouch! It still hurts.

Put some ice on it! It helps. Put the ice in something first (like a Ziploc bag if you have one) and hold it on the burn.

I did keep it cold for a few minutes. Seems to be ok now, except for the two red lines on my arm.

Thanks Rosie, I've been trying to remember the name "housecall". It doesn't seem to like netscape very well. IE goes okay.

Got pulled over by a very nice state trooper on the way home. I say very nice, because she was very friendly, but also because she didn't ticket me for tabs that expired in ~MAY~.
~shrugs~ I plumb forgot!
To: ExGeeEye
We'll take it!! Here's a singed blank check.

Heh, my sister got ticketed by a cop once... we bought the car in November and didn't realize the tags ran out in March. Glad it wasn't me!

Is a singed check legal tender, or do banks demand the money be unburnt?
