Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Hill and water under sky
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

The brackets match...
The error message I'm getting claims I don't have a main type. I've got a main function.... "public static void main()", like my textbooks say...
WHY can't I just program in C++? Why can't I use a normal editor?

What a pain!
I stubbed my toe the other day and bent the nail. It's sore, and rubs up against my shoe. Makes walking really fun, yep.

(((RosieCotton))) thank you for keeping me on the ping list!
Fedora - I havent forgotten you...have been digging in the internet for some ideas for the villain (yeah, STILL...)...I *might* hve some leads, thus, may be able to actually tackle it this weekend, if the housework load doesnt get too silly. May also be at the end of getting the pamphlet stuff for our church finalized (FINALLY!) so that pressure will be off. But have also been hot and heavy looking for a job...NOTHING yet, not even nibbles. Am starting to wonder if all the jobs are just being passed around to the same people and me being out of the loop for so long, I don't know how to jump back in.
Everyone else : HI GUYS!! Hope life is treating you well!! Daughter and I are in FBTheatre again, doing "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory". My daughter, the one who swore up and down she had too much stage fright to venture a part, but is now going to be an Oompa-Loompa and is trying to finagle a way to talk the director into being one of the Wonka kids, despite the fact that the part is for a little boy. She is having SO much fun. Im in the play too, but I have only a few lines, which is FABULOUS for me at this point because with all the other stuff that Im thinking of, I think only a few is all I can handle. I play Veruca Salt's mother. I get to be a 'nasty'...heh heh heh!

I wish I was in Tijuana
Eating
barbequed iguana I take requests on the telephone
I'm on a wavelength far from home
I feel a hot wind on my shoulder
I dial it in from the south of the border
I hear the talking of the dj
Can't understand, just what does he say?

I've got sandals that almost don't rub, but I was limpin' around today just the same.
Of course, I COULD have gotten off the treadmill this morning when my heels started to hurt like a smart girl, but nooooo.
I'm just hopin' it's going to get better and not be a continuous problem with the shoes.

Hiya, Alkhin! Good evening!
The theater stuff sounds like fun! I haven't done any acting since highschool...I wasn't that great at it, but it's fun being part of something like that!

Hi, Alkhin! :) Nice to hear from you! Was wondering how you're doing. I'll be anxious to hear what ideas you have for the villain.
"Willy Wonka"--LOL! That sounds like fun :)
To: RosieCotton
Is it UPS or FedEx that has the commercial with the two guys saying variations on "if the package doesn't get there, we're DOOOOooooomed!"?

I dunno...I don't get TV!
I'm guessin' FedEx, though. Isn't UPS still doing those "I love Brown!" commercials?
