Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Hill and water under sky
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Ugh, finally home! Laundry going and homework due tomorrow, done. Which is good because tonight I've got to figure out how to actually make a java program run. I've done the hard part - design - now I just have to implement...

I hear ya, chica. I got the second half of that training tomorrow and am dreading it.
The software upgrade we're training on is an improvement, to be sure - but the headaches it's gonna cause in terms of unseen glitches will undoubtedly mean late nights ahead. *sigh*
The system goes live in mid-September and there are stil some major questions that need answering.

I saw that live thread on the news side, but I just can't stomach any Kerry tonight.
I'm preparing myself for the debates. Maybe I can get tickets to the first one here at U of M....

Nice...
I got some movies for background noise, later. After laundry and dinner. Right now I'm trying to figure out this really dumb debugger.

I wish it were early enough to watch a movie, but it's at that certain hour where it's too late to start a film and too early to just go to bed. :-)

There is a way cheesy flick on Sci-Fi though. Dinosaurs in it. I have no idea what it is.
