The Hobbit Hole XIV - Hill and Water Under Sky

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

...Hill and water under sky

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

He's out of sight at the end now.... look for them coming back... and then this little show will be over. He said he wasn't gonna just hang there all day.

Prolly won't do anything dwarvish either. ;~D

Hair; whoo-hoo, there's the dwarf himself. Thanks for the camera-shot. Looks a beautiful day there.

Looks like I missed it :( I can see the red shirt in the screencap, though :)

He's probably still on the pier.... if we're lucky we might catch him walking back.

Jesus did hang out with sinners at times. However he also spent a far larger percentage of his time with his apostles. His social roots were still among believers even though his social branches reached out into the world, I guess is what I'm trying to say.

I had to jump in the shower for a minute. Did I miss anything on the Corin-cam?

Sounds like you're prolly right. I've been checking every few minutes and haven't seen him.

Pier looks nice, though! :)

Remember yesterday and exchanging prayer requests? Well, while I was on my very nice walk-interrupted-by-bookstore, the birth certificate came!!!! I'm going to be ok now, I'll go out and take care of everything right this afternoon!

Hey, that's great news! I'm so glad!

And now...I'm over 200 posts behind. Wondering if I should bother attempting to catch up.

I have a job that starts Monday, temp-to-hire, help desk/customer service call center type thing out in a little podunk town about 30 miles west (Elma).

Congratulations! Doesn't sound too bad, especially the podunk part. ;-) I like podunk towns...this is my dream country, right here!

I have this sense of dread though... that I'll be introduced to JimRob, and he'll say - "Oh - you're the one with that thread that won't go away...."

LOL! Oh my! If that's the case, we still want a report, OK? ;-) Could be amusing.
