Cool! Send some up here, please :)
No, I tried the PCA church and I don't really like it. They're a dutch variant of Reformed.
I know about historical social laws and current expectations and stuff. All I was saying was in most Protestant churches - and I've been to a number - you might get "guilt tripped" for not being at church, but nobody makes a deal of it being an obligation, probably because they want to emphasize what a privilege it is to go. And my original point was that if it is an obligation to go on Sunday, defining Saturday afternoon as Sunday seems just a little weird. From my point of view.
Is that RPC?

It's weird if you think of it as Saturday afternoon; it makes sense if you think of it as the beginning of Sunday where "Sunday"=the first day of the week=the day after the Sabbath, per the Jewish tradition you mentioned in your other post where the Sabbath begins at dusk Friday and ends at dusk Saturday.
No, it's not Presbyterian, it's a dutch variant called, I think "Christian Reformed". They use the Heidelberg rather than the Westminster confession and their govnerment, though similar to the Presbyterian style, has different names.
The Christian Reformed Church subscribes to the following confessions:

Watching the football game here. . .You watching any anime/movies tonight?
Yes, a romantic comedy. It's girly night here.
For dinner I'm making a big batch of fajitas. I figure the amount I'm making should be up to five lunches/dinners; they turned out really well last time. I need more green peppers and low-carb fajitas.
Yeah, that's the denom. Like I said, they look close enough but then again the PCUSA probably *says* they conform to the Westminster Confession.
I just read somewhere that more "decent" clothes for the Beautiful among us are making a comeback. Here's hoping!
Never seems to work for me...
Just turned over to the ESPN game here, Jets vs. Colts... is that the one you're watching?
Yeah, that type of thing is always a consideration in church shopping. And then even if the denonimation is okay finding the right congregation is another challenge. One reason I prefer to go to the Saturday vigil service is because the most conservative priest in the area does the Mass then. If I go Sunday I get a more liberal priest.
Stockin' up on the fajitas! :) I'm going to make a pizza at halftime myself; probably have a wine cooler with it. What's the romantic comedy you're watching?
That is NOT "Breaking News"...
I'm watching the Packers-Saints on the local Green Bay station. I don't know if any national networks are carrying it. How are the Jets and Colts looking this year?
Packers just stopped the Saints for a loss on a blitz :)
Mmm, and when your sermons are 45 minutes long, compared to a 10-minute homily, it's even more important that the pastor be doctrinally correct! They can get into some serious depth if they want to - my pastor always, always did, which is part of what makes looking for a new church hard.
"Church shopping" is not a nice term, though. "Hunting" is a little better.

Hair, now I really wanna see your pictures of you in a dressage event!

Already posted here :)
ROFL!
Are these real games or scrimmages? The season hasn't started yet, has it?
Real useful skill these days :)
