The Hobbit Hole XIV - Hill and Water Under Sky

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

...Hill and water under sky

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

...or better still... a photo of *her* in that condition to save for someday... say when she's a teenager and you need something to keep her in line... :-)

They'd get leaked out when she's running for office. Imagine if we had a picture of John Kerry painting with his own poo.

That's just wrong, sis. After what I've been through tonight....

I'll be dreaming of that now. *shudder*

There were tons of Mr Hanky's kisses all over the place.

No health food for her!

Today she feasted on animal crackers, milk and pizza. Appears to have gotten things moving....

No banner yet... they said they were finally in stock and would be shipping it out, but I never got the notice from UPS of any shipment. Not sure what's going on.

Stay tuned... there's still time. :-)

Well, thanks, but I don't want you to go through the trouble because I'll probably be getting a deck anyway. How much are they?

But--the Orca hasn't eaten the bad actor yet! Don't you wanna see the bad actor get eaten? :)

G'night! :)

Wow, good luck in finding them... while SJ Games still supports the game, I don't know of many game stores that still carry it. IIRC, the "starter kit" was made up of two decks of more-or-less random cards; the idea being that there were enough cards in the kit for two people to play a basic game. Extra cards were sold in "booster packs" of, I think, about 10 cards per pack.

SJ Games also put out a special box set called "One With Everything", which consisted of one of each card in the complete set. 413 cards, in total...

Hmmm, I didn't realize it was hard to find now. Well, I'll check around and see if it's online, maybe.

"Jaws 2" starting here. BTW, on our Marvel discussion group the past few days we've been taking nominations for the lamest heroes and villains. Any candidates? :)

INWO was first released in 1995... I created that webpage with my Elvis deck in 1997. :)

Lame heroes and villians? Oh, dear, I'm so bad at coming up with stuff like this... uhm... I'll have to think about it! ;)

Sorry, I had to go take care of something in the basement. Well, have a good night!

On the lame villains list, I nominated Paste-Pot Pete :)
