It's not bad, just boring. Kind of a dark brown that gets really flat-looking if I've had a long day.

Your color fits your complexion perfectly. I couldn't wear hair that color, but it sure suits you. I agree, in general thin hair looks better short, while thick hair needs to be longer... I had mine short for a long time, and it was impossible to manage. It'd stick up at right angles all the time.

Whereas mine hangs limp if it gets too long...fine hair is definitely better off short!

BTW, I'm borrowing the "Around the World in 80 Days" audiobook from the library to listen to while walking, since I'm likely to do more and more indoors as it gets colder - and darker in the mornings. I figure I'll give the story another chance. Listened to the first two chapters this morning. The reader has an annoying vocal pattern, though. Hopefully I'll get enough into the story to stop noticing.

I do love that book. Hope you like it this time.

It's a gorgeous day right now. Crossing my fingers that it still will be nice when I get home and walk.

Oh, good! Hair worries are the most annoying, aren't they?

Hey - I'm not the worrier around here! ;~D

The biggest irritation I have with homeschoolers sometimes is that they just pop open their door to anyone who knocks, then they gripe when it's CPS and they storm in their house.

So.... does this happen ~more~ often or ~less~ often than Big Bird comin' to the door?

Heh... thought you might say that.

I'm home now. Walked halfway then took the bus when it started raining, so that counts as my exercise, too. I need to decide what I'm doing tonight.

Hi! I'm home, too. Was a heck of a day. Totally blindsided me. I went in expecting to coast, freep all day, and gossip with the crew. BUT, my supervisor gets all wishy-washy on me and makes me redo my entire briefing. Ohhhh I was stressed. It took me a week to do it the first time. Then, just when I'm about to finish the revision, she comes back in and says, "You know, I thought about it, and the briefing was probably ok the way it was."

Days like this, I would pay to work for a green-suiter.

Those who wear BDUs to work- in my field, typically active duty officers.

Well, it's Friday! Enjoy your evening... have a drink... pretend Monday won't come.

Monday is my regular day off... and boy do I need a three-day weekend. (I'm gonna buy a fancy new outfit for aforementioned briefing.)

Would they dare exercise the Torch Option in a Presidential Election?

Enjoy. But not too long. Suddenly, one is in a huge crowd, completely alone. It's unimaginable...until the first time it happens.

"If'n this is true folks, the Kerry campaign just jumped the shark...again..."

If it weren't for vote fraud, my guess is Kerry might end up going the way of McGovern and Mondale. I'm sure the Rats have some dirty tricks up their sleeves yet, though.

"OK, I'll ask. What the heck is "jump the shark"?"

The term comes from the episode of "Happy Days" where Fonzie waterski-jumped over a shark cage, widely considered to be the episode that was the beginning of the end for that show. . .
