Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Hill and water under sky
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I need to pick up some decaffeinated Earl Grey. I drink tea in the afternoons, and don't really need the caffeine then.
I also like Lady Grey.

I'm also eating my morning two tbsp of flaxseed meal cereal. I used to fix it with hot water, cream and vanilla syrup...
Now I just fix it with hot water and a spoonful of that maltitol "honey". Deeee-LISH!

Ooh, MAN I used to love those Boston Cream kind...
They'll be OK for occasional treats, but I don't need a treat right now.

Good morning all - very rushed here this morning, been watching the tape of Olympic dressage from this morning while I sip coffee....
Talk to you all in the afternoon! Yippee it's Friday!

Thank you 2J!
I've had Bryers' low carb ice cream. It was horrible, to my taste. The consistency was somehow wrong, more custardy than I like.

Happy Friday!
I'm having bacon for breakfast. Have decided the key to getting through the first three days of the diet (which is when I get all my worst cravings) is to wear baggy jeans on day 2 and 3. Somehow it reminds me of what I'm trying to accomplish.
There'll be a new episode of FMA broadcast tomorrow... should be fanubbed by Tuesday. How're you doing?

I'm up to episode 39, so I have a FEW more to watch...tryin' to make 'em last a bit. And of course, I have the extra special bonus cookies, too...
Most of my jeans are baggy now. That's both good and bad. Good, because it means I'm toning up (I haven't really lost much weight in awhile), bad because some of 'em are BRAND NEW (bought earlier this year) and now look sloppy, but I can't afford to buy new ones. I'm not sure what to do about that. They're too new for me to feel OK with just giving them away, but...

I'm beginning to think this isn't even going to be that close of an election.
Here's hoping...

All this commotion is making me wish I could buy the book. But I can't afford it, I'm not planning to vote for Kerry anyway, and it won't persuade any of the liberals I know because most of them don't want to think about
Vietnam anyway.
But man, how is the Kerry campaign imploding like this and it's not showing up in the polls?

Yep!
I've got two more episode of the extra-special bonus to send you when you get more FMA, so that'll probably be about a week and a half from now; you'll get two FMA and two bonus.

Makes you wonder a bit just how accurate the polls really are, no?
Though...I don't think I even wonder.

Well, no, neither do I.
I have a pair of jeans in my closet waiting for me to fit them, so losing weight isn't going to hurt my budget too much, at least not right away.
