Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Hill and water under sky
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Serves me right...trying to take your Precious when the Equestrian Olympic competitions are being cast aside for *YAWN* tennis.
What's the deal with that? Don't they know that horses are far more fascinating to watch than 2 people running back and forth whacking a ball?

Good evening...
Has anyone seen anything to hint at when we might be able to display 250 posts at a time, again? Archiving the thread is a major pain at 50 posts/file...

Have I missed anything??? :-)
I'm hoping that the wireless hell for me has finally been fixed... the last few days have been pretty lousy, in lotsa ways. Hopefully at least the wifi part has been fixed. If this posts, anyway... [sip]

Haven't heard, read or seen anything yet, Bear.
But I know there's a lot of folks who want that feature back, so I expect it'll be up soon. :-)

I'm sure it's a load balancing thing, Bear... it seems to be automatically triggered whenever the server load climbs.
After Rush was talking about FR some days ago, we're probably seeing record hits to the site.

Though lately I've discovered that I'm becoming a fan of volleyball. Not sure why. ;-P

Ooh, just barely missed it...
Drat! I had my porch door open, to get the cool night air. While I was in the kitchen cleaning up, the neighbors came home and started smoking and now my apartment just stinks. Do any of you smokers have methods of keeping the smell down? Like scented candles, or something?
