The Hobbit Hole XIV - Hill and Water Under Sky

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

...Hill and water under sky

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

Personally, I don't think it's diet related with me. I have a feeling it's purely heredity.

But I bet I can't tell the doc that.

We'll see.

Steve is coming home tomorrow afternoon to go with me to the doc...I'm leaving the jedis with Celeste.

Thanks for the update Jen! I'll grab S-7 when I get home tonight. I've watched up through episode 3 of that one. I like it so far.

I was browsing AnimeSuki and my son saw the Macross 7 series and wanted to see it so episodes 1-10 are downloading today while I'm at work. The place I found that had the BT files had them in ten episode blocks.

I haven't seen that. Give me a thumbs-up/thumbs-down when you've seen some of it, wouldya?

If you can get your hands on "Full Metal Panic".... I'm not sure it's appropriate for your kids but it's a lot of fun.

Hope you don't need to have a box fan moment with the doc, tomorrow... My numbers have all been fine since I started dieting, the doc was just happy I'd lost the weight.

It should be...I've cut out all trans-fats. Which is why I think it's a hereditary thing. My dad, who is rail thin, has the same problem.

Sure will.

I've heard of it, but I haven't seen any yet. I've seen the Manga titles when I've been at Barnes and Nobles but I haven't read any either.

My wife and kids got me Prelude to Foundation and A Stranger in a Strange Land for my birthday. It's been ages since I read Foundation and I remember reading Stranger a couple of times when I was a teenager and really liking it. We'll see what a little age has done for my reading tastes.

I was worried to death about 'cha...and all our Florida HHDs.

Glad everyone from the Hole is ok, but what heartbreaking devastation.

Had it checked last week and it's 276. He told me he wants me in right away.

Yikes! I don't know much about correct levels (my family doesn't typically have cholesterol problems), but that's really bad, isn't it?

You're in my prayers. Hope they can get you on medication or whatever is needed!

I wonder if something like South Beach would work better for ya...or if there's anything diet can really do.
