The Hobbit Hole XIV - Hill and Water Under Sky
See our freeper.the-hobbit-hole.net home page! ^

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

...Hill and water under sky

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

An anonymous xerox copy of an ass would do nicely in this scenario. *grin*

Europeans can be pretty nasty. Just a totally different culture.

I'm good! I'm enjoying my adventures in living on my own. Not enjoying my adventures in lack of social life. It'd better get better once school starts.

Colorado's lovely, I can walk to the bookstore, and I've spent most of the week reading and watching anime. Life's pleasant, momentarily.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MATTHEW!!!!

Tell the boy that mrnad says he can shoot a real gun when you all come out...if it's ok with his mom and dad that is.

We are well. Mrnad's back is bothering him tonight...must have been those big trees he was movin...silly man. He's headed downstairs to veg and self medicate while sitting on a heating pad. I'm fixin to join him in a few. Foyle's War comes on in a little bit on PBS...one of the only stations we get. He says to tell you that your family is welcome here before the moot if you'd like and can get away.

I'm glad Matthew had fun yesterday at the bowling alley! Take care,

Mrsnad

Hey, you're like...there, and stuff.

So I'd like to bring a coupla bullet launchers to the ShootMoot, but seems you're rather well-equipped...my collection is a tad unusual, I think, and should be I have something interesting to contribute...

Here's the list:

M1903A3
Chinese SKS (Type 51?)
M1 Carbine
AR-7

Also a Winchester/Cooey single-shot .22 for young 'uns or the unenlightened gun-virgins.

I also have an old Mossberg .22 autoloader with the tube mag in the stock that came down from my grandfather...but I don't think I'd consider bringing that one.

Whaddaya think?

Sean Astin gave an impassioned, eloquent, wonderful speech at a JOHN KERRY rally?

Gag me. Another clueless idiot. Moron.

He's an actor, I just assumed he was a clueless idiot.

Yep...the ones that aren't, are the exceptions.

More truth than comedy in the Celebrity Jeopardy skits Will Ferrell* and Darrel Hammond ** used to do on SNL.

*"Alex Trebek"

**"Sean Connery"

Oooh, I bet you are having fun and adventures! I'm sure the social scene will kick in once school starts. I'm glad you're enjoying Colorado. I've always wanted to visit there. When does school start?
