Morning. Going to go back and fuss about Germans in a few minutes.
It's 49 freakin' degrees this morning!
So...did they last out the night?
Amen to that!
We use it for just about everything here...make an image for each of the labs, for one thing, and then if one gets messed up, we just slap the image on it and it's ready to go in half an hour or less. We image the office machines, and if we really abided by our own rules, it would take about the same amount of time for them (people are supposed to store files on the network drives), but usually we're nice enough to move data for them before Ghosting over their machines.
But it's a dandy product, in any case.
Awww...what a cutie!
This is something I dunno how to make. Could you give me an idea of the proportions? I'd like to try it some time!
*Yawn* g'mornin'
I saw Bob Dylan once, with Tom Petty. Long time ago, must have been in the 80's.
Have a good time!

Good morning. Today is the car repair day so I'll take ecurbh's car and wait for it at the shop.... or at the restaurant next door :~D
~sip~
That is ~after~ work....
Won't be home till late afternoon today.
How are the storms this morning?
They're on their way.
Bonnie is still a tropical storm and should hit the Florida panhandle sometime today. Charley looks like he's heading for the Florida Keys and going up the west coast of Florida.
Don't know how much wind damage they'll do. But lots and lots and lots of rain to an already soaked southern to mid-Altantic region.
I'm plannin' on workin' inside this weekend. Pray for me, I'll be in the ~attic~.
Good morning!
Oh no..... and you just got Junior's room all finished!
Charley's much more likely to be a baaaad thing, no?
We're getting rain, too. Luckily not as much as you guys...but geesh, where was this a few years ago? Most people not on town water were really struggling. That was the year I bought my house and was living at home temporarily until the paperwork went through. We were actually hauling water from streams to use for flushing toilets and some kinds of cleaning, and buying bottled water for everything else. I learned that it was possible to wash my hair in a mixing bowl...
There was a hurricane late that year that became a storm that dumped a TON of rain on us. Can't remember which one...Hugo? In any case, we loved 'im. We wouldn't have made it through the winter otherwise! Horribly low water table.
Gotta go! Book sale this morning! Gonna take the jedis to the Daylight Donuts that just opened up down the street (near Ron's Hamburgers and just down a few doors from the Geeks I took my computer to when it was broken during Entmoot.)
Neighborhood is really growing!
See y'all later.
Watching Charley but like Corin said, it looks like a west coast storm. The only bad side to this is that the east coast will get drenched and we've already had more than enough rain.
I'm NOT looking forward to driving in it tomorrow morning, that's for sure.
Mmmmm!! Dee-lish!
See ya Ruthy!
This is NOT a normal August!!! I had to find my jeans and a long-sleeved shirt to take Gypsy for her walk. She, on the other hand, loves these temps. I need to get the boiler checked and re-calibrated, heard natural gas prices will be up again this year :-(
Here's how I made the curry last night. It ended up being enough for two meals.
In the wok, mix 2 tablespoons of curry paste and half a can of coconut milk. Cook this until it bubbles. It's supposed to be that shade of yellow, don't worry.
Throw in onions (I used about 1/4 cup) and whatever meat you're cooking. Cook the meat until it's almost done, and add your other vegetables.
Now, what I do to make this really spicy is add about 1/2 a tsp of Sriachi sauce to the curry paste/coconut milk at the beginning. Yum!
And it's a good food to serve over brown rice, because there's quite a bit of liquid sauce. I tried throwing the rice into the mix for the last two minutes and it came out very well.
I suppose I could probably do something using curry powder instead of paste? I don't think I've seen the paste here. But I have the powder. I'm going to the natural foods place after work, though...they may well have curry paste. I should check.
It sounds marvelous...I didn't end up making chicken last night, so I could make it tonight, maybe, with brown rice. I've been living on leftovers (two alternating meals) for the last four days or so and I'm finally ready for something new! Also have lots of veggies I could throw in...
And I'd have half a can of coconut milk left so I could make this again soon with beef, maybe. Sounds good to me!
Mmm...spicy food...
