We always had to do the ID check coming onto base due to being overseas...luckily I lived on base, so I didn't have to deal with that on a daily basis. But we also had ID checks coming into each building (even the library or bowling alley) whenever the security level was elevated...that was a pain.

Morning! I've got over an hour before I have to leave for work. There's something to be said for part-time work... ah, the luxury...
Of course, once school starts I'll be busy again.
Meanwhile...I could use part time work in addition to work. But then, mostly I think we all need to have a heart-to-heart about the band(s) situation...i.e. if Bilbo is really gonna start his own band, he's out of the current one, and therefore we'll seek out our own gigs (preferably two or so a month) and form it into what we want it to be. That could take care of things.
So...in the petty stupid prayer request column...could I ask for prayers that we can discuss this at music night tonight, and hopefully make some decisions for the future?
Our "Shallow Prayer Requests" list has had a pretty good success rate so far! Let us know how it comes out.
Sigh... it's so nice to work with geeks my age. We're all on the same page, so it makes getting along easy.
Sounds like a nice job! Great that you have some common interests...that makes life a lot more fun.
Re: the band...I think mostly we just need to realize that Bilbo (and Stephen, too, really) will NOT be permanent band members, and depending on their being there isn't good. Even worse is expecting Bilbo to be the leader, though he says he wants to be the spokesperson. He has other priorities, and therefore while it's nice when he does play with us, he probably should be seen as kind of a guest star.
Not that you should care...but putting this in writing helps me sort my OWN thoughts out...

Yeah, I think I'm going to like this job. The one guy's in what I expect to be my hardest class, too, so maybe we'll be able to compare notes and such.
Yep...hopefully calmly and honestly and without ruffling any feathers. Which is easier said than done.

I finished 42 last night and my jaw hit the floor. I was not expecting THAT at ALL!
FWIW, I couldn't get 44 to download. I'll look for it and try again tonight.
