My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and I...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Good morning y'all!

I hope everyone has been doing well! Dang, I've missed y'all.
Things are still moving along here at the farm, at a pace that can slow down aaaaaaany time now. LOL! This will age a person entirely too fast.

When we lost our sweet Tinuviel a few weeks ago, I told Hubby that we'd probably get a "replacement" before summer's end.........me and my big mouth! LOL! We did last week and she brought along a belly-full. We expect her kittens to be born any time. Just what we need, huh? ROTFL!
Meet Sheba, our newest "daughter"...

She's a sweetie and it's a shame someone threw her out like yesterday's trash. At least she found us and now has a loving home for life.....and LOTS of new friends. ROTFLOL!

Thanks for the coffee and donuts you provide each morning SAM. Got my eye on those chok-lit donuts right now....they'll hit the spot as I check things out at FR for a bit. :-)

HI SAM!! :-) You're still up?

Poor lil Sheba had been homeless for a while when she showed up and was half-starved. That pic was taken the first night she was here. Apparently her babies were half-starved, too, but are putting on weight......you should see the size of her belly now! LOL! She eats like a horse but the babies get the bulk of it. She's put some weight on herself, though only a little.

Don't worry. She'll fatten up nicely before too long. No one can say we starve our "kids". hehe!

How are things up your way these days? Hope they're a LOT less hectic that they are here. Much as I hate cold weather, I'm kinda ready for winter!

Have you had any of this cooler weather that has been hitting different parts of the nation?

This morning when I got up it was 50F. Very unusual for this time of year.

Hiya ms. feather! Can't believe I'm still here. Been trying to catch up on things and it's soooooo hard to leave! LOL! I miss FR so much.

Yes, we got some of the cool weather down here and it's been a blessing! Did you send it down here? :-)
Been down in the mid-50's at night and we love being able to have the windows open for a bit. Gonna heat back up the next couple of days though.
As much as I hate cold weather, I kinda look forward to winter so things will slow down around here! I miss everyone terribly.

Much as I hate it, I reeeeeally have to hit the hay. The toothpicks holding my eyes open splintered. *giggle* I'm glad I got to see ya for a sec before going.
