~The Dragon Flies' Lair~Thread XIV~
July 23, 2004 | bentfeather and Poets of the Lair

Posted on 07/23/2004 4:39:59 PM PDT by Soaring Feather

My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and I...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Oh how I wish to go down with the sun
Sleeping
Weeping
With you

This is very pretty, thanks Darkchylde.

Afternoon Sam!!

Well errands done for a while. "Garden Therapy" this does work!! Of course, it has to stop raining for it to happen. :-)

More gloom here today. I walked around town doing my errands carried my bumpershoot with me. No rain then but we are heading for a nasty afternoon.

I am aching something wicked from this dampness.

Listening to the tunes now. Eye in the Sky always liked that one. Thanks Sam for all. :-)

Hi snippy, I'm back in the Lair. It's getting ready to pour again. Oh I am so sick of it. Oh well, how's your day going?? Sam said, it's dry out there.

It was Will Rogers who said, "Everything is funny as
long as it is happening to somebody else."

I just found the band today, they're pretty good. Though
the lyrics have emotion, the music compounds it, so in
order to get the full depth, you'd have to listen.

It was dry until last night, rained again today but we really needed it. I think we went three weeks or more without it.

Things are headed in the right direction for us and we hope it continues that way.

"Where we lost"

I lost my heart, I lost my soul
And this is where we lost control
But you can't see me now
No you can't see me now
I'm burning in my dark skies tonight
Angry flames surround my heart, but I'm alright
But I'm burning down the sky tonight
Don't you know you're running away?
Do turn back before it's too late
I'm still angry when I'm tied
I thought I'd die
I'm burning alive
The little things, it seems to me
Called out to us with desperate screams
I can't believe that this could be
That you'd ignore such desperate pleas
So many things unseen before
But who's the one who shut the door?
So you can't see me now
Why'd you shut me out?
Don't you know I'm turning away?
Love isn't an empty plate
And trust can't survive all the lies
My heart has died
Somehow alive
But I'm dying inside
I can't love when I'm tied up inside
I lost my heart, I lost my soul
And this is where we lost..

Antoher one...

Walking In The Air
By: Nightwish

We're walking in the air
We're floating in the moonlit sky
The people far below are sleeping as we fly

I'm holding very tight
I'm riding in the midnight blue
I'm finding I can fly so high above with you

Far across the wold
The villages go by like trees
The rivers and the hills
The forests and the streams

Children gaze open mouth
Taken by surprise
Nobody down below believes their eyes

We're surfing in the air
We're swimming in the frozen sky
We're drifting over icy
Mountains floating by

Suddenly swooping low on an ocean deep
Arousing of a mighty monster from its sleep

We're walking in the air
We're floating in the midnight sky
And everyone who sees us greets us as we fly

Yes.
Have a metal tune stuck in my head with that one.

Also have an Alice in Chains tune stuck in my head as well.
Gonna see if I can find it.

Found it.

Alice In Chains - Over Now
From the album "Alice In Chains" (3 legged dog on cover, AKA 'Dog named Boo')

"Good Night..."
Yeah, it's over now, but I can breathe somehow
When it's all worn out, I'd rather go without
You know its been on my mind
Could you stand right there
Look me straight in the eye and say
That it's over now
We pay our debt sometime
Well it's over now, yet I can see somehow
When its all gone wrong, it's hard to be so strong
You know its been on my mind
Could you stand right there
Look me straight in the eye and say
That it's over now
We pay our debt sometime
Yeah, we pay our debt sometime
We pay our debt sometime
Yeah, we pay our debt sometime
Guess it's over now, I seem alive somehow
When it's out of sight, just wait and do your time
You know its been on my mind
Could I stand right here
Look myself in the eye and say
That it's over now
We pay our debt sometime
Yeah, we pay our debt sometime
We pay our debt sometime
Yeah, we pay our debt sometime

I'll have to see if I can find this tune and upload it to play for everyone. I'll have to use my laptop as my Mac does not have the software to search and download.
