My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Hi, Feather!
I am doing better than yesterday, which was admittedly quite a black day. Thanks for asking :)
I have often wondered, and may never get a satisfactory answer, why I seem to be able to say with the written word what I can't seem to say with my own mouth. Maybe it's because we can rewrite what's on a page?

I have often wondered, and may never get a satisfactory answer, why I seem to be able to say with the written word what I can't seem to say with my own mouth.
I have that same issue, I can write far better than express orally my thoughts-maybe that's the gift. Once I "found" my voice -to write, as it is our voice, I felt a freedom from the chains of frustration.
Maybe it's because we can rewrite what's on a page? You may be correct in your thought. We sure can't go back and relive yesterday we can rewrite yesterday -only on paper.

Feathered love dances effortlessly
your gravity arcs enviously
your eyes found
a vessel of ethereal wings
you defied splendor...

How long has it been,
this errand and journey?
Arms and sinews
once bones, are now burly;
Raiment, once threadbare
now martial and fine;
Who once lived on gruel,
now on rare meat I dine.
A proud-muscled chest
could burst armor apart,
but the cold touch of mail
cannot shield the heart.
A foe cannot stand
to my passage of arms,
but my heart is besieged
by a false lover's charms.
So, drawn and repentant,
I draw nigh to my tower,
but with all I am, I seek
shelter in your bower.
So let me, Lady draw hither,
to watch the stars wheel past,
for it is inside your arms
i wish comfort at last.

Hasten to my side
my war toughened Knight
take respite with me
in our tall and lofty tower
Rest thy weary heart with me
to the midnight hour
never more the ugly to see
only beauty twixt thee and me
A soul ceremony we shall hold
on heavens threshold
witnessed by the universe
adored by the stars
and
nightly flights to Jupiter and Mars
Oh gather me to thy breast
I too, am war worn frayed at best.
Yearning for your tender caress
loving face and gentleness
drape my shoulders in a mantel
of lame` riches for the Lady
flowers for the month of May
and fields of golden hay
valleys greens so far away
a ceremony of souls in May

Then, hold your arms to me, that's right,
For this is the magical, mysterious night
that brings my return and homecoming hence,
to the bower of lavendar we know the best!
I would have it sooner,
this trysting at night,
hastening toward you
through fire and flight,
through perilous clashes
and desperate passes,
staining with gore, the leaves and the grasses
until just, as the stars begin to show bright,
in the western skies with their guiding light,
your smile, your eyes, and your voice my heart warms,
as the siege is lifted from my heart - by your arms.

Dang! I wish I could do that!! You two are awesome together!!

With opened arms I welcome thee
bloodied, beaten,
muscles hardened
vision sharpened
hasten then to me
my Knight
In thy bower of lavender
a sweetness of oils
a luxury of Knighted Gents
Ladies pampered cuddled and spent
All for a price it would seem
the winding tower road rutted,
gutted, gilded and old
strode upon by Queens of old
blessed and cursed by peasants, plebes
and pirates of the sea
wealth and rags, crones and hags
and barrels of gin
hijacked from vessels towering tall
and fought for by the hands of men
this they do time and time again.
I do come to thy tower tall
to the bower thorns and all
to love thee by the ivied wall
groomed gardens lofty halls
secret rooms and little coves
to touch thee on thy crested breast
to love thee on the bed of quest
Hasten my Knight the hour is long
soon the cock crows and thou wilt be gone.

NAY, Sweet lady, for here I shall stay!
Cleansed and refreshed from the battle this day,
the armor stripped, the man laid bare,
the slayer gone, the Knight stands there!
The Ball awaits us! Such music, and dance,
as lovers all smiles wait their turn and their chance,
and the doors swing wide
as they're throw asunder
with fanfare of horns that shout down the thunder,
As the Knight and the Lady
descend the grand stairs,
lavendar scent to drive away cares,
lute and viol floating 'round the great hall,
gather us hither, at the Homecoming Ball!
To: Old Sarge

Your Lady curtsies
to the honor of the Knight
whose promise of permanence
is held in esteem
The offer of romance
and a dance set well
with your Lady of the Stars
celestial stance
twilight's song and dawn's farewell.
A slipper held in thy hand
does it fit the little Dame?
Is her delicate foot just grand
or would another take her stand
and demand a retrial
a night of splendor with
starry, Milky Way eyes
Rain-bowed skies and tales
of Knights in foreign lands
landed estates, fields of grain
and a happy ever after...
Thy promise to be there
in coldest winters
grayest hair and
furrowed brow
to stand the test of time
in fields of lavender we walk
and dance in ball rooms
Crystal lights and candle dances
Ah, Sir Knight, thy Lady will take her chances.

Good nite poets
May the sweet aroma of Lily of the Valley fill your dreams caress your face tenderly lull you to sleep in the safety of knowing love...
~ Dream a Little ~ Love a Lot ~
I remember the color your hair was... the color of spiced rum With memories of you walking without me in gentle oriental rain Left me with dreams of being lost in your embrace. The peace in your eyes shone through I was lost, lost in your eyes ..........lost in your embrace... Dreams of you at Indian Twilight...

Goodnight, my someone,
Goodnight, my love,
Sleep tight, my someone,
Sleep tight, my love,
Our star is shining it's brightest light
For goodnight, my love, for goodnight.
Sweet dreams be yours, dear,
If dreams there be
Sweet dreams to carry you close to me.
I wish they may and I wish they might
Now goodnight, my someone, goodnight
True love can be whispered from heart to heart
When lovers are parted they say
But I must depend on a wish and a star
As long as my heart doesn't know who you are.
Sweet dreams be yours dear,
If dreams there be
Sweet dreams to carry you close to me.
I wish they may and I wish they might
Now goodnight, my someone, goodnight.
Goodnight,
Goodnight.(C) Meredith Wilson

Sea Fever

I must go down to the sea again, to the lonely sea and the sky,
And all I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by;
And the wheel's kick and the wind's song and the white sail's shaking,
And a grey mist on the sea's face, and a grey dawn breaking.
I must go down to the seas again, for the call of the running tide
Is a wild call and a clear call that may not be denied;
And all I ask is a windy day with the white clouds flying,
And the flung spray and the blown spume, and the sea-gulls crying.
I must go down to the seas again, to the vagrant gypsy life,
To the gull's way and the whale's way where the wind's like a whetted knife;
And all I ask is a merry yarn from a laughing fellow-rover,
And quiet sleep and a sweet dream when the long trick's over
