~The Dragon Flies' Lair~Thread XIV~
July 23, 2004 | bentfeather and Poets of the Lair

My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and I...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

I gotta tell ya Sam, I love this new format for music. My Mac is so low on memory most of the time that by the time Real Player loads I have to reboot. Thanks much.

Then, too, when I am on the laptop I have nothing to play the ram files on. This way I can play tunes on either computer. These files load so much faster.

Good morning feather. The weather has cooled down to the 80's and it's much more comfortable. How goes the east coast?

...well enough to sit up and take nourishment.

Thank goodness, LOL.

I'm fine, it was a rather hot week here high 90's, low 100's but it has finally cooled off so all is well.

Cool and overcast today snippy. Due for rain showing on the Weather Channel. I love this cool weather can't say I am jumping with joy for the rain, but at least it's not hot and humid-the norm for around here.

In yon tower
high away from all
at the midnight hour
do the hounds call
haunting thoughts
of battles long
and loves lost
in the hinderland

Yes, a respite does
you well away up
there on the hill
the warmth of light
beckons all

But borken hearts
and lonely nights
with memories of
fallen knights

Promise of happy
ever after the fodder
for dreamweaver
Spellbinder, a lover
in a world of wars...

Just a gentle word
a little tug at the waist
a little hug
a little secret smile
to remember we
did meet and did
once love in another land
the food to grow on
to love no matter the odds

Oh my knight in yonder castle
remain with me in loves binding cloak
cover me with you hope
run of to War no more, I beg thee
a little tenderness under a loving tree
