How long did the tortillas take to make? I go through a lot of those, could probably save some money if I learned to make 'em myself.

They don't take long to make. The hardest part is just rolling them out...gotta make sure you use enough flour and get them good and thin. I rolled them all out before starting to cook - put them on a plate with waxed paper between them so they were all ready to go.

Here's the recipe:

Whole Wheat Tortillas

2 cups whole wheat flour (could use spelt flour)
1 teaspoon sea salt (or less)
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 to 1/2 cup butter (or oil - I used olive oil)
1 cup warm water

Combine dry ingredients in a bowl, mixing well. Cut in butter, then add water to make a soft, pliable dough. Knead briefly.

Let sit covered with a damp towel for 30 minutes or more. Make the dough into 12 golf ball sized balls, then roll out thin on a well floured board. Bake on a pretty hot skillet until
slightly browned, then flip and bake the other side.
