They don't take long to make. The hardest part is just rolling them out...gotta make sure you use enough flour and get them good and thin. I rolled them all out before starting to cook - put them on a plate with waxed paper between them so they were all ready to go.
Here's the recipe:
Whole Wheat Tortillas 2 cups whole wheat flour (could use spelt flour) 1 teaspoon sea salt (or less) 1/4 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 to 1/2 cup butter (or oil - I used olive oil) 1 cup warm water Combine dry ingredients in a bowl, mixing well. Cut in butter, then add water to make a soft, pliable dough. Knead briefly. Let sit covered with a damp towel for 30 minutes or more. Make the dough into 12 golf ball sized balls, then roll out thin on a well floured board. Bake on a pretty hot skillet until slightly browned, then flip and bake the other side.
