"It never seemed right getting my anime fix on the Cartoon Network.........."

"Pokemon" and "Dragon Ball Z" don't quite do it for me. . .

Heh, I used to teach teenage boys- who are dwarvish by nature. There was a lot of snickering in my geology class...

BTW I didn't know Dark Horse had a Japanese branch...

I don't think they do. Adam's Dirty Pair series was created entirely over here.

Yowsers... big big waves.

That's not actually in Puget Sound. The name of the vessel is "Puget Sound". Since it says that it was bound for Valdez, its a safe bet that those pics were taken in the middle of the Gulf of Alaska.

The Gulf *regularly* gets seas like that, especially in the winter. It is a genuinely inhospitable place. Some of my most cheek-clenching moments were in that place. It's really something special to be on the bridge of a ship, eight feet high, and be able to look *up* at the top of the next wave... [shudder] [clench]

Try the American Institute of Architects. They have a "find and architect" feature to help narrow it down.

find an architect

Have you read The Not So Big House by Susan Susanka? IT's a very good book. It and the sequel, Building the Not So Big House have suggestions for finding a architect for what you're doing.

BTW, the fourth Fullmetal Alchemist opening, "Riraito (Rewrite)" is available here. It's weird, but it grew on me.

I know about teenage boys. I'm still trying to convince Jr. that bodily noises CAN be controlled...he keeps farting in front of Nana...

Aw geez, why'd ya have to go and ping the RM? (Did you notice that the person wearing the RM name sounded suspiciously like JR?)

For heaven's sake man, get a hold of yerself...

I think maybe all this is just a desperate coping mechanism. I got depressed by 7 am watching the flippin news. So I sat on the couch and watched Matlock and Little House on the Prairie. Sure, Pa got beat up in town again, but truth and good won out, and everything will was alright in the end.

I am watching Martha Stewart now. It's a good thing.

And let's leave it over there.

I know about the news thing. I've got Rush on in the background, but I haven't been able to stand the thought of watching the convention. I prolly should cause I need to re-activate my web stuff, but I just cain't take it right now...

Plan to kick the web stuff into high gear post beach week.

(I emailed the Pier and asked what the deal is with the piercam)

"The big problem was that to get past the censors, they had to hack the Kyoto-arc to death. Bad metaphor"

LOL! That surprises me, because even in the Japanese "Kenshin" I thought the violence was pretty toned-down with a minimal amount of actual death. There are US cartoons that I find more objectionable.

I agree on dubbed Sano--when I listened to original Sano, he sounded totally different. English-Kaoru was somewhat whiny, but she wasn't half as bad as English-Merle crying "Lord Van!" every five minutes :)

Have you read..

Huzzah I have not. Will put it on the amazon list. *thank you*

I used aia yesterday. That's how I found the smarmy dude.

Does anyone ever do the design themselves, get someone to draft it, and then have an engineer or someone review it?

"I don't think they do. Adam's Dirty Pair series was created entirely over here."

Oh, okay, I was drawing the wrong inference, then-- I just noticed the Japanese letters around the Dark Horse logo.

See... what sounds really cool in another language can be very dumb in ours. And "Lord Van" isn't as fun a car-game as "Van-sama!"
