Try the American Institute of Architects. They have a "find and architect" feature to help narrow it down.

Have you read The Not So Big House by Susan Susanka? IT's a very good book. It and the sequel, Building the Not So Big House have suggestions for finding a architect for what you're doing.

I used aia yesterday. That's how I found the smarmy dude.

Does anyone ever do the design themselves, get someone to draft it, and then have an engineer or someone review it?
