The Hobbit Hole XIII - Let them pass! Let them pass!
See our freeper.the-hobbit-hole.net home page! ^

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

...Let them pass! Let them pass!
(Note to dwarves, this is only meant figuratively)

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

I'm heading home now folks.

Just found out that absolutely NOTHING was done in the kitchen today because the countertops were not delivered. Supposedly, nothing can be done until counters are installed so maybe, just ~maybe~ tomorrow will be better.

*sigh*

I'll get back on if I can, but my room is filled with everything from the kitchen, so I have to go thru an obstacle course to get to the computer! LOL!

That's easy to do when you're wearing the Lurker Cloak! One of the drawbacks is that you can't see yourself, either--we'll have to work on that. . .maybe add infrared goggles?

"It's got the infrared stealthing as well."

Very good! I trust the ultraviolet and gamma radiation bands are also installed?

"Yes.

You mean when you get angry the gamma band makes you turn big and green and start attacking the Army? Yeah, that's a liability we should probably take care of one of these days. . .

Well, actually it makes me turn green and shrink ala 'pocket hulk', but that's a different story.

Yarghhh!!!!!!--that's just spooky! :) My old Burmese/Himalayan kitty's eyes used to do that, too, but with him it was only one pair, not three! They are kinda cute, though :)

Hmmm, Pocket Hulk--now there's a marketable idea! For instance, how much energy and money could people save on moving furniture if instead of having to move it themselves or hire somebody they had a handy Pocket Hulk(TM)?

My, that's a scary-looking dog.

Have been packing. Most of my kitchen supplies are taken care of. I need large trash bags so I can get rid of junk, but we don't have any...
