Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Tree and flower and leaf and grass
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

I'll keep a look out for the book. I've seen the old movie, and just howl when the couple gets a visit from the local 'population control' advocate and the lady is horrified when she discovers they have 12 kids!!

Heh...we had to deal with those types a few times. Once when there were just THREE of us (this was when we lived in Portland, OR, which may explain a lot...) a guy practically chased Mom down the street ranting about how Jim shouldn't have been born. She always wondered what he woulda done if he could have met her again later. Probably fainted dead away!

Might also be good as a sort of roll-up. I'd like to try that with a tortilla...put all the stuff on, broil until the cheese is bubbly, then wrap up and eat. Yum!

Yeah, that's what I'd been doing with it till I had this pizza brainstorm last night. Matter of fact, I ate some heated-up roast beef and colby jack on half of one yesterday. They are really big, really too big to eat whole, in my opinion..
They are more like a thinner pita (no pocket) than a thicker tortilla...

I guess I was picturing something thinner than that. The flatbread I bought recently was basically a wrap. I cut it in half and used it for roll-ups.

Yep...it's thicker than a tortilla...which is nice! Chewy! :-D
Have you had a Subway wrap? It's thicker than a Subway wrap too...

Haven't had one of those yet. I'm keeping it in mind for the next time I'm out and about and need to do the fastfood thing.

They are good, but I can make the same thing for so much cheaper and get so many more for the money.
I'm OFF! Going to Walmart.

Early on in Sonya's pregnancy, they started calling the baby "Penny" because that it was the size of a Penny. Now it has grown, and she has had an ultrasound where they have determined it's a boy.... You can see his.... in this picture, so now they are calling him "Peter".

Cracks me up.

They aren't already calling him Edgar?
Heh...I had friends that called their baby Peanut until he was born...'cause the first time the dad saw the ultrasound, he said it looked like a peanut in a hurricane.

Tim seems to be reluctant to run with "Edgar".
