Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
Information to make you cringe. I found gas for my truck today for $1.74/gallon for 93 Octane. Regular 87 Octane was $1.64. And I bought a carton of smokes for $22.50.
File that away in "news that you did not want to hear." :-)
Here too... within about 2" of setting the local record for rainfall in the month of June... and not that far away from setting the all-time monthly record.
Thanks, I doubt that I will ever be an expert but I am going to practice.
I'll ask him and show him your links, thanks.
Most very cool! Welcome home Steve!
I gotta look at me a map. I thought Vancouver would be north of you...
That's pretty cool... but it's a long ways to drive for a tank of gas. :-)
Welcome.
I'm not sure which units are authorised to have them, and some CO's may have a snit fit regardless of whether or not they are authorised.
But, it's worth a shot.
Kinda long link, but it takes you to Brigade Quatermasters, a place to get more gear 'just in case'.

That is about a mile from my mother's house. I worked there for four seasons (it helped me get through college).
Vancouver *Canada* is north of her. But Vancouver *Washington* is on the border south, across the river from Portland, OR.
I knew I shoulda read ahead...
~rolling eyes at you~
I didn't *think* you were gonna drive down here for a tank of gas. I thought perhaps you might fly down here to see an elf! :-D
Just relaying the shock at my prices after being up there for a few days. LOL Figured you'd find them amazing. ;-)
Holy smokes, I hope her house is on higher ground!
The cousin who sang at my Grama's funeral lives in Vancouer, WA. Was some of her favorite cousins.
I'm glad I wasn't the only one...
Has Shoal Creek swallowed anything in downtown yet? I used to like going down and watching it during floods.
Evenin' folks. I believe I've caught up.
Came home, got lots of work done. Then as it is such a nice evenin' I enjoyed myself an adult entertainment beverage out on the deck.
Not yet! Getting close to flooding, though. Rain is supposed to continue off an on until Thursday.
Hmmmm.... I got my laundry done from my trip today. Does that count? The rest of the day we drove around the countryside then ate at the all you can eat steak place. Only thing is, I didn't get any adult beverages. But, then, it doesn't sound like I'm under much stress does it? :-)
Can we trade mailing lists that we're on? Somehow I've been put on a "friendsofhillary" mailing list. I'm sure that's somewhere between the third and fourth ring of Dante's Inferno.
I'll be using the BRE to "politely" ask her to take me off her mailing list.
