Well, since getting a new road built in Austin is next to impossible, they're rather limited in their choices about what they can make a toll road... state law won't let them make existing roads into toll roads, only new construction.

The whole time I was living in Austin they were building Capital of Texas highway. Back then, before the highway we used to ski a lot where the bridge over Lake Austin is now. It was *really* out in the boonies then! :-)
