Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Tree and flower and leaf and grass
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Holy Katz, Jen. You sure you said you wanted to RENT it. That has sure changed a lot since LSA and I did it (okay it was during the Second Age).
We did a move that from south AZ through NM and most of TX during July. Big ol Uhaul, no ac, no radio, and 4 speed plus a 50 mph govenor. (didn't know to disconnect the dang thing). But we were young then. Later moved from TX to KS in December. Timing left a bit to be desired with both moves.

Yes, we were amazed, too. When we moved to Pittsburgh, from DC, we rented the biggest they've got and it wasn't nearly that much. But that was 13 years ago, I guess.
Also I think late July is a bad time to rent, everyone wants to move then.

Heh....could probably get a full-service mover for $2000.
To: Overtaxed
Yeah, and then all my stuff would get held hostage until I forked over more money.
Anyway I don't have too much to move, it'll fit in a trailer.

Get someone reputable and remember: if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. :)

To: Corin Stormhands
Didja end up havin' tuh rub his bottom?Might, we'll see. Though it won't be because of the ride, his good horse carried him the whole way without any rude booting onto it!

It was a little chilly early today, perfect for staying cool in. Seems windy and changeable tonight. I hope it means rain!

The DVD from last year's Christmas production is coming out tomorrow. This is the first year they've done something this detailed. Previous years have been just a video of the theatrical production.
There's a trailer on the church web site. Mrs. is in several of the scenes, but she'd be hard to spot. Except for the "second blonde" in the Vegas scene. Can't quite tell if WN's earrings show up.

Wn, Rose, are either of you on jremier's TAR ping list?
I've been a TAR fan for the last 4 years...what a show!
Politically, I can't stand CBS, so I'm waiting for the day they move it to the Travel Channel or somesuch.

Oh...and by the by...they're not Orioles!
My grandmother was visiting today, and since she's an avid bird-watcher, she wanted to see the baby birds. She took one look at the Mama bird, looked at me, and said, "Are you feeling ok? That's a Robin...not an Oriole!".
LOL...so, ok, I don't know my birds very well. But...it's still a cool thing to have happen in your yard! :-)
Hair/ecurbh..great horse-ride pictures!

Hiya! Here's how much fun Photoshop can be: apparently, the Wedding Moot paused to pose for the chiseling in stone. Political grafitti and one of the kids playing with the sand are in evidence.
