The Hobbit Hole XII - Tree and flower and leaf and grass

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

...Tree and flower and leaf and grass

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

See, when you start talking about glassware accessories, you're designating the class of the imbiber.

Paper bag = large container of booze bought at a convenience store by the corner wino.

Koozie = smaller cylindrical metallic container of booze bought at the convenience store by the working-class.

Paper napkin = small transparent plastic cup containing booze adulterated with icky-sticky-sweet punch of some sort, dipped out of a nice punch bowl at a middle-class celebratory gathering.

Felt bag = elaborately-shaped and decorated bottle of booze bought at the liquor store for a nice chunk of change, to be sniffed and then consumed by the upper class.

I'm gonna join in with TT if they do that after FOTR. Maybe you can jump in there, too?

Bandana wrapped around canteen indicates the one that *only* the adult at the campout drinks from. Substance in canteen may very depending on mood of adult.

At midnight? That's a little late for me.

I went to wal-mart and got bathroom stuff tonight! I got a spare towel, too, so you can visit ;-)

Actually I thought it was a good idea to have a spare towel. It is the most incredibly useful thing a hitchhiker can have, after all.
