Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
...Tree and flower and leaf and grass
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

TROOP SUPPORT PACKAGES!!!Got the package I posted from yesterday mailed along with 2 more. Here are those customs forms:

The second form is for just one soldier. I had gotten a freepmail from Steve (smaagee) before leaving for wedding moot telling me about one of his guys who *really* needed Chicken Ramen Noodles. Steve asked me if I would enclose a few extra packages just for him - so I got him 2 boxes. :-)

I also had another box ready to mail at the post office. I encountered something I hadn't before though. The package was too big. So, I had to bring that one home so I can separate it into a couple of smaller boxes. I just happened to have this one huge box and filled it up for Jerry's guys. But, it was bigger than the size specs so I have to break it down. Will get that done today or tomorrow and post those customs forms.
Also, have enough for one other package but had run out of customs forms. Got more of those - so we'll have 3 more packages going out in the next day or two.

For some reason I have Randy Travis' song "Look Heart, No Hands" playing over and over in my head. I wonder if the radio station we leave on overnight played it and I heard it in my sleep...

It's Comcast - comcast.com
Heh, if you tell me I'm being stupid and missing something, I'd be thrilled.

Uhmmm, I know you don't have a camera to use... but somehow the form scans just aren't as interesting as the package pics.

What's the zip code there? Comcast.com is asking me for a zip code before showing me what's available there...

See, to me, having a friend or family member tape a show is equivalent to watching it at their house. Downloading off the internet is more like getting one of those devices that lets you steal cable. That's just for me! I don't know that there's any actual difference... sigh... world is confusing these days.

I know. I need another camera. Nuther disgusting story about the school. There were 2 more in our media storage area that belonged to *my* department. They have walked off in the last 2 months. Of course, NO ONE, has touched them.

Even seein' pics of 20 packages of Ramen noodles had more emotional impact eh?Well, not necessarily emotional impact... for example, one never knew when a toe ring might sneak into the package picture...

I know...
Find a nice quiet pub or fern bar with a big screen TV that will play the shows you like and go there each week, sip sodas and watch the Amazing Race.
Maybe you'll meet some friends there who like that too.

Well, I can't figure out the monthly cable price, because they have a promotion running with the first month free and all they'll say is "Free!". Which is illegal, I think. But, I did notice something else: you don't have to have cable to get their high-speed Internet service. Their high-speed Internet is $42.95/month to cable customers, but $52.95/month to non-cable customers, which might be cheaper than paying for cable and Internet together.
To: RMDupree
That was pretty well done!
