Special Wedding Edition: The Hobbit Hole XI - No One Admitted Except on Wedding Business!
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
I see your move a little differently. You are moving away from home, but taking things that will be a comfort to you. Your books are your valuables.
I probably wouldn't move that many, but I understand why you would.
(((((((((2JEDISMOM)))))))))
I am so sorry! I know what you mean about friends. I am grieving with you right now. *tears here*
Ugh...don't that just drive you CRAZY!!!
Oh man, do I know ~that~ feeling. *smile*
I quit smoking Dec 11th, 1986. I think I started running in 1987. Ran my marathon in 1991. The last race I ran was a 5K cross-country when I was 7 months pregnant with Matthew. He's 8 now.
I'm alright now...been visitin' with my buddies here in the Hole and they've cheered me up. She was a wonderful Christian and I anticipate her service is going to be quite a celebration.
I just keep thinking of the glory she is beholding right now...
Books are all I have, really. Couple decorations, but that's it. And every book I'm taking is one that I've reread at least once, so it's something I want.
And I have room for 'em!
Passing the bathroom he stopped to drink a large glass of water, and another. He began to suspect that he was hung over. Why was he hung over? Had he been drinking the night before? He supposed that he must have been. He caught a glint in the shaving mirror. "Yellow," he thought, and stomped on to the bedroom.
He stood and thought. The pub, he thought. Oh dear, the pub. He vaguely remembered being angry, angry about something that seemed important. ..........
"I sympathize with the packing thing. I'm almost out of room for boxes in my room and have started hauling them out to the garage... sigh, my room looks so lonely without the books."
So when do you actually move, then? I thought it was a couple weeks but I can't see you without books for a couple weeks :)
Are you taking the dragons?
And a plant. You should have a HUGH house plant ;~D
Okay, that's different than what I have then. The one I have is read by Douglas Adams. I also have him reading "Life, the Universe and Everything".
Morning.
I probably DID do whatever it is since I discovered I was sleep walking again last night.
Haven't done that in ages.
Still, I'm having trouble figuring out just WHERE I picked up this odd sign that reads "Right lane MUST turn right 5AM - 9PM. No right turn on red 7 AM - 7PM."
"The last race I ran was a 5K cross-country when I was 7 months pregnant with Matthew."
Wow! What was that like? 5K is about the most I've ever run--trying to imagine doing that carrying extra weight!
I know that feeling. *sniffle*

There is no loading in the red zone; the red zone is for unloading only. . .
I give her some latitude when it comes to the gardening stuff, because she's been doing it for 70 years and she knows what she's talking about. Even that can get old tho.
But with the house, we know it's cluttered, but we're swimming upstream. The piano reconfigured the entire living room (and we wouldn't have it any other way). But when she moved in we effectively lost our home office and our guest room. Not to mention the closet space. (and the attic and garage space)
I'm looking around now for an outdoor storage building that's affordable and doesn't look like crap. That will alleviate some of the garage issues.
Of course my dream is to get one big enough that would be a storage shed on one side and an office/studio (for me) on the other...
We left Luke with Nana yesterday when we took Jr. to the airport. Sitting there waiting for him to board, I looked at the Missus and said "I gots a credit card, where you wanna go?"
The dragons go, of course! They'll protect me from strangers and large dogs and things that go bump in the night.
We'll see about the plant. Only thing I've inherited from my mother is her black thumb.
Get one big enough for storage and a granny flat...
Now ~that~ would have been the coolest thing ever.
How many days till vacation? - Are you forgetting your countdown ticker? seems like it said 21 yesterday.
