New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
Still round the corner there may wait |
Home is behind, the world ahead, |
42!
...morning funkle...
But still. Texans know the question!
Mornin' all. I'm off to try again to get my lab ready for the kids class next week. Will check in from work if things go smoothly.
Is he the one on the right?
Not bad.
I wonder if that's playing here? Swashbuckling might be a good way to pass an evening this weekend...
Hey, LF, I just finished reading the Jack Whyte series. Apparently the next book comes out in the fall.
Had some trouble with what I felt was too much sex in the early volumes, and then the Pelagian heresy thing, but otherwise, very nice. It, and Rosemary Sutcliff's "Sword at Sunset" are closest to being "right", for me, although there are bits of Stephen Lawhead's work which I like a lot. His writing quality isn't the best, though.
The one on the right was Arthur. Gawaine and Tristram were also very nice to look at! And Galahad was manly for the first time I've ever seen.
I forgot to say last night that my idea of a chick flick is "Lord of the Rings": lots of pretty things to look at... ;-p
Good morning!
Rainy and muggy today. Decided to wear shorts. Doesn't seem to be any middle ground here at work...either we're too hot or we're too cold, and for the last few days, it's been hot.
Had a fairly fun evening. We ended up going bowling...I hadn't bowled in years. It's something I'm horrible at, but still like to do...sometimes wish I could be on a (not very serious) league. Heck, if they do handicaps...I could still help a team, big time! ;-) I broke seventy both times, which for me isn't bad at all. Heh...did I mention I'm horrible at bowling?
That's why I liked "Reign of Fire", too. Not the greatest story in the world...but yum!
Who's on the left, then? Is that Lancelot? He's not in the greatest position to really see his face.
May have to do further research...
Lancelot, yes, who is Ioan Griffud from "Horatio Hornblower", if you've ever seen any of these. A little too pretty for me, thanks. The guy who played Arthur had a really lovely voice, too, and lots of angst.
However, Gwenhyvar is played by Kiera Knightly, who's from "Pirates of the Caribean", and wasn't very believable. And, er, someone should have given her a better war outift, I spent too much time wincing in sympathy.
Alkhin, are you have trouble with livejournal, by any chance? I looked at my friends list this morning and couldn't read it, the formatting had gone weird and the text was all white.
Oops! Tagline fix.
I haven't seen Horatio Hornblower.
The Arthur guy has a nice voice, too? Hm...now I really gotta see it! You KNOW I'm a sucker for a nice voice or accent...
Which is why I liked "First Knight" a lot, in spite of Richard Gere's presence. Sean Connery...even as a fairly "mature" guy...mmmm...
My idea of a nice voice, anyway. It fits his face. Anyway like I said before, there are lots of nice faces to look at, even if, like me, you don't like Lancelot on principle.
Ah. That s'plains it.
I don't watch South Park.
I'll take the omelet, thank you.
Indeed.
mine?
